Outstanding WiFi range extender!
Installation was a little more involved than I expected, probably user issues. The product is fantastic, highly recommend it!

Great customer service
Outstanding customer service. I purchased the unit with the hopes of creating an Access Point extension. I had some issues connecting it to my current system, but customer service helped address the problem. All of a sudden, I lost power through my POE. The adapter was working, but the unit would not power on. I sent an email to customer service, and they asked for the purchasing details and immediately replaced the unit. I could not be happier with the service. This is the way it is supposed to be.

works well
I bought this to connect to some wifi cameras on my property. it was easy to setup and I got a strong signal 500 feet from the antenna. the only complaint was the speed. signal was real strong but speed was 10mb. it may be in how I set it up but it is working. I do have starlink so my speed is great on the rest of the network

Only for experienced network engineers
It might work. It might not. Everything lights up. But I can't connect to the internet. Support is non-existent. You're on your own to figure it out. UPDATE: After my comment here about the lack of support, I was finally contacted by a rep from the manufacturer. The "chat" feature on their website is useless. I'm in California. Judging from the time their support messages arrived, usually late at night, sometimes late on Sunday, I conclude that WAVLINK's support staff is not based in the USA. I can't say that they had any useful advice. After much experimentation on my own, I had my best success accessing the setup app by plugging the AC1200 directly into my desktop computer with a short ethernet cable while the AC1200 was right beside me. In such a situation, I was also able to access the Internet through either of the special networks that the AC1200 creates. Then I tried the AC1200 in a variety of locations outdoors. This was in "repeater" mode, which you need to assign with the app. Connection to the AC1200 outdoors was sporadic and only when it was within about 30 ft (10 m) of the router. Internet was usually unavailable. I bought the AC1200 specifically to connect to a remote webcam located in a barn owl nest box. I never achieved a connection to the webcam. I even tried connecting with the AC1200 in direct line-of-sight to the webcam about 30 ft away. The AC1200 didn't connect to the webcam, and I was unable to connect to the AC1200's network. I also tried the AC1200 in "access point" mode, using a 150 ft ethernet cable connected directly to my router and a 100 ft AC extension cord. I couldn't connect to the AC1200 at all in such a configuration. Potential purchasers should be aware that the AC power adapter is not suitable for outdoor use. Its connecting wire to the PoE adapter is very short. You'll have to provide the adapter, the PoE connecting adapter, and all related wiring with special protection. The failure of the AC1200 to connect to the webcam even once, under any circumstance or configuration, is why I'm returning it. Else, I might play with it some more to find a "sweet spot" where everything connects. I've been buying stuff from Amazon since 1997. This is the first time I've ever returned anything. In my experience, the WAVLINK AC1200 is a turkey. Oh, you also need to know that there are two entirely different WAVLINK products called "AC1200." This particular one is also known as the 572HP3.

Long distance!
This shoots wifi over my entire acre and a half. I have zero dead spots now. I can even pick up the signal at my buddies property a good distance away. Install and connection was fast and easy.

Yes, Yes, YES!
This works so good, even better than what we have in our home. Love, love, love it so far. Just hope it's as durable as effective.

It works, but not well.
Have it in line of sight with the WiFi router no more then 200ft away and the connection is constantly fluctuating from full bars down to one like clockwork. And the throughput is not as advertised, fluctuating from 5mb to 9mb. It causes the WiFi camera to stutter but they work well enough, not sure it’ll support another camera. Will likely upgrade to a PTP bridge and router setup.

Signal distance and network names.
We needed to have a camera at our driveway gate, but the driveway is 400 feet long. This extender allowed us to put the camera about 300 feet down the driveway, and we might have been able to move it even closer to the gate. We were very careful in placing the extender and the camera of course, but there is a strong signal and we can see if packages are at the gate or if it is open. Very happy and I was able to give a unique name the 2.4 mgb signal to link to the camera. I tried two other types of extenders and they were not able to do the job.
