I was so excited to see this item and I am happy with is it is that it does has the magnets that stick together visible and seems that those will fall.

I teach fourth grade. It works for my class. The size is fine too.

Do not buy this product. I purchased two and both came defective. The inside of the brain which shows the different parts of the brain had damaged areas which blurred the printed on names of the different sections. This product is very poorly manufactured. I’m annoyed as I really need this for a school assignment.

Honestly, the construction of this was not great. It seems like they put a very thin sticker naming the parts of the brain, and some places are a little ripped or crumpled. I wouldn’t recommend buying this, unfortunately.

This brain model is honestly adorable and such a fun way to get kids excited about learning science. As a mom with a background in biochemistry, I really appreciate having something in the house that lets me teach my kids in a hands-on way about how the brain works. They were fascinated when I showed them how the rational part of the brain and the emotional part of the brain can interact, and they giggled when I explained how sometimes the emotional part takes over in kids just like it can in adults. They even like placing it on their heads to pretend it is the size of their own brain, and for reference, it is about the size of a six year old’s head, which makes it feel relatable and fun. The bright colors and the simple cross section make it less intimidating and more like a toy that encourages curiosity. However, I do need to point out that the quality is not top tier and definitely leans more toward being a novelty or toy rather than a lab grade model. The material is foam and the inside of the cross section has a printed layer that feels more like a thin sticker or decal placed on the foam. The print is slightly off in some areas and has a sticky feel to it, which helps the halves stick together when displayed but also shows that it is not made for long term durability. If you have pets, especially dogs, this is not going to last more than a few seconds if they get to it. Even with kids, if it gets wet or is played with too much, it will start to wear down and lose some of its visual appeal fairly quickly. It really is best for gentle use, display, or light educational play, not rough handling. With that said, I still find it worth the purchase because of the way it sparks conversations and allows me to make science a part of everyday life with my children. I just wish there were more color variations offered because it would be fun to have different styles or even seasonal versions to rotate through for teaching. It really stands out as a unique piece in our home learning setup, and while I know it will not last forever, the excitement and curiosity it brings to my kids right now makes it valuable. They enjoy pointing out the different parts and testing each other by naming what they remember, and for that reason alone it feels like money well spent. It may not be a collector’s piece or professional model, but as a teaching tool and conversation starter, it has earned its place in our home.
