This knife sharpener is easily one of the best and most durable/easy to use products I’ve ever had. This knife was able to take my super old kitchen chef knife that had been sitting in my drawer unused due to how dull it’s been. I decided to give this a shot and it completely surprised me! The use of the product is so simple and satisfying to sharpen your knives with. This product is sooo much more reliable than a whetstone or a steel because it has it all in one, super easy to transport and the magnetic hold makes it super easy to focus on specific areas of the knife. If you are looking for a product that is easy use and gets the job done- this is it!! For anyone who uses knives in the kitchen this would also be a great gift! A sharp knife if always safer than a dull one ❤️❤️

This is certainly something unique and maybe even novel in the limited group of tools that are commonly employed to sharpen or to restore and edge on a piece of cutlery. When this item showed up in my vine review folder as an item that I likely woujld have an interest and therefore enjoy reviewing.,I was curious as tp wjat exact;u os a roller sharpener.It arrived on time and was in perfect condition. Wrapping to prevent any marring and scratching.It is a very good looking tool set. From the finely finished roller to the magnetic grip that holds the blade firmly against the angular guide tool.Those magnets a quite powerful and the blade does not slip. The angle of the edge is maintained.It is not quite like having a fine electric powered grinding wheel and guide but it is quite apparently a tried and true method of truing up and actuallyu refurbishing the edge on a fine blade of steel.The knives are held in place with the magnets and yes, you roll the roller, while the end of choice contacts the blades edge. Somewhat more precise than the traditional touch up tools such as a steel, whetstone, or strop.This tool ensemble comes with a traditional whetstone a prime requirement of the purist.It is the final touch so to speak, for putting and edge of perfection on a specific type of blade..This whetstone is quite thin. I would think that a little more body would have been better, but still, it did the job on the blades that I tested it on.I also think that the guide should be a little longer to add a degree accuracy and security to a long cutlery item.This roller method actually works, and will for that fact be a conversation piece for sure.I really must admit that I am a novice at roller sharpening. I am catching on, so those impressions of presumed shortcomings are not in any way to be construed as star busters.The roller has has wonderful exotic look, maybe OK to say Manly looking, although I know women that can sharpen and use a blade as well as any man.So now we get to the part that asks, how appropriate would this be as a gift item?I will answer that with definitive yes! In my opinion this roller sharpener would make a great gift. As a man, I know that this well made sharpening tool would be intriguing and appreciated for what it can add to a collection of blade related items.Since I have never had a roller sharpener and have not shopped for any, the price is not part of my five star rating. I am considering the price in the overall value as to what in my opinion would I be willing to pay for amszpm high quality item that should be well received as a gift or personal purchase.Will I use this tool, probably from time to time to gain new skills and certainly be used to catch the attention of friends that are also blade enthusiasts.

This worked okay in theory but wasn’t very intuitive, and the instructions were very confusing. I’m not 100% sure I was even using it correctly. I tried it a few times and ended up purchasing a different product.
