Too critical
Seeing some of the reviews, I was apprehensive of the page quality; but it was good. The book however will not be suitable for beginners. Just like the title suggests, the author keeps on criticizing and bringing parallels from other philosphies including Indian and it's irritating and time consuming. If you are looking for a basic textbook of Western Philosophy, Frank Thilly would be the best. Edit: But you are destined to study this for civil services examination and especially for the post graduate level exams in Philosophy. It's good to learn by correlation and parallels from philosophies from apart miles and centuries.

It’s a valuable resource for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of philosophical thought. Well-organized and informative, it made challenging concepts much easier to grasp. Definitely a must-read for philosophy enthusiasts.
