Great price to performance!
I’m not sure what’s with the bad reviews. I got this during Ramageddon and since I had a 32GB set of DDR5 it seemed like a great idea. Yeah you don’t get rainbow fan connectors or Sata but I have 20+TB of external Hard drives and it’s fine. With a RTX 5070, this thing is crazy fast for most games. The Bios seem good enough and the ram sped is not as fast as soon but it was easy to setup. The temps stay low even with benchmarks. The quality seems great, I have pounded this thing with AI video tools, Fortnite on ultra, and 12 usb peripherals. Drop in an M.2 WiFi chip and you have Bluetooth. The PCIe 5 port works fast as well. I get all my GPU to utilize. No complaints so far.

Great value Ryzen 9 Mobile Chip on an ITX motherboard combo
Great motherboard and CPU combo, also comes with wi-fi on this one. Thankfully I got a working unit, and it works great so far and performs like a champ on efficiency front. It must be noted that this uses mobile chip, so you can't upgrade the CPU and you also need laptop SODIMM RAM. Fit and finish is not perfect but acceptable on mine, there's only one finstack on the heatsink that doesn't align well. This was quite the problem on earlier batch but it seems they've improved on that front. They've also finally added BIOS v1.09 that enables overclocking option which could be helpful for those who want to undervolt and using a faster RAM speed. Tbf on the listing I had no idea what even is upgraded on this unit, it looks and perform like a standard 7945HX on this unit. There might be multiple BD790i listings, so just pick whichever listing gives you the best price. Also be informed that there will be another "BD790i SE" version which has lower price but uses a 7940HX instead (alongside the downgrade from m.2 gen 5 for storage to gen 4 on that unit). That one is different from this one, but if the price difference is big, picking that instead could be a better option if you wish to save some bucks. That said I'd only recommend building around this unit only if you're fine going with a growing brand like minisforum (which may lack localized support on your place, you can still email them though and they will answer in the next business day) and knows a bit about how to tinker with PC.

Dont be lazy and do your research there alot better options out there.
I normally dont leave reviews but i had ebough of amazon and crap vendors this is complete trash, not only do you have super limited features for the price these are hit or miss, my board was good for a little over a month and out of nowere started giving random blue screens. Amazon customer service has dropped alot since back then and offer little to no help. I reached out to the vendor and i basically had to give them a kidney and even sent a video of it doing it before they offered for me to buy another model that is more expensive or send this back to them at my cost and i am left with no computer. 400 dollars down the drain. Please be smart and do your reaearch. Buy a intel board guys. Never buying minisforum again. And i will be reaching out to as many forums and voicing how bad this junk is for as long as i have too.

Minimal software support but
This thing blew me away. Smokes my R9 9900X desktop in multi-threaded tasks, and dramatically lower power, and probably everything else, because that 9900X has been nothing but an overpriced disappointment. And it does all of it, complete with motherboard, cooler (no fan) for the same price I paid for that 9900X alone. There's nothing to really tune, so outside of the process of building a SFF PC (or similar) there's not much to tinker with. But that's a plus as far as I am concerned, I'd rather work with my hands than a menu. Thing runs as you expect given enough cooling. Provide your CPU fan fresh intake, and equip it with a high static pressure fan. If you're building into a SFF case, the intake is probably a freebee, but your fan size/pressure probably is. Do some research here. I built into a 2U chassis: no room for top-down fan orientation. It all comes from front intake 80MM fans. Two 10K RPM (very) high static pressure fans (and a bit of creative ducting to squash the air flow over the ram and into the fin stack) does the job without the CPU throttling after many hours at 100% load. More on this in the post It has been SO impressive I am legitimately considering taking my desktop to the dumpster and replacing it with one of these MINISFORUM platforms. There is almost nothing bad for me to say about this thing. Yeah - software (firmware) support is meager, but the board has minimal features. what's to support? Oh, no, there's no BIOS flashback! Why would you need it? The CPU can not be upgraded? There are countless "nice" features on full size boards, nevermind premium boards. But when those things cost as much as this entire package?! What are you going to do with it? Stuff a CPU in it that costs more than the entire BD795i? Nothing like more than doubling your investment to get the same performance. If you have some special use case. Overlocker for the sake of overclocking. Do you. But this device even supports PCIE bifrucation. You can load this up with graphics cards for mining if you were so inclined, and there's some potential for a dedicated AI system with come caveats about PCIE bandwidth. Anything that loads up VRAM once and processes almost indefinitely, no problems. I've literally almost talked myself into it just now! Provided, I should note 75% of what makes this thing great and likewise my review is the CPU itself. 7945HX is basically a 7950X with a few caveats. Where Ryzen 9000 series are nearly 7000 series refreshes to be low power, there's not much more to improve. Thus MINISFORUM delivers something very barebones, and glance over the PCB is a testament to just how bare bones. There's NOTHING on these boards. Large swashed without so much as a trace. In reality, that's all they really need to do. The 7945HX is such a boss CPU it just needs a vehicle to get into people's hands. And they did. At an impressively competitive price. Can't be beat! I'm genuinely impressed. I don't think I have been this impressed with computer hardware in ten years. Here's hoping it lasts ten years. In the off chance feedback makes it back to MINISFORUM: things I would like to see updated on MINIS products - temperature sensor fan control. I would like to configure ALL of my fans to follow CPU temperature. Future products with 'server' oriented memory. Most of these SFF platforms have custom chassis, so the cooling can always be adapted in the custom designs. Not so for rack mounted chassis configurations. Memory sticks become a baffle for the CPU fin stack. If Memory slots and NVME slots were swapped, I would happily. MINIS even sells custom NVME coolers. A new design that sets their own fins in line with the CPU finstack is a no brainer. At that point either they align with CPU cooler for blow-through designs of servers, or they naturally pick up from top-down CPU fans blowing out of the CPU fins. Meanwhile even a modest case fan blowing through the now in-line memory modules is plenty sufficient, especially for lower speed SODIMMs. Make it happen, MINIS! I'm already planning two more builds with your products. These things are so great! Make it even easier for me to slap one or two special models into 1u/2u rack chassis and I won't even think twice.

I experienced a problem with my motherboard that caused it to stop working almost a year after purchase. Minisforum support issued a 90% refund and were good to work with, although the process took over a month to complete (including shipping back to Minisforum).
