Bizzibeans Cakes Gluten FreeLemon Sponge Cake with Lemon Buttercream 6” 900g

The cake was totally delicious. Very moist, very tasty and even though it's a small cake, it is tall and I think will serve about 6 - 8. We've not finished ours yet, so have popped the remainder into the freezer - hopefully it will freeze well. I bake cakes myself, so was curious to tase another handmade gluten free cake. Pleasantly surprised. Totally recommend this lemon cake. Delivery date is over a date range, so not good if needed for a specific date. It arrived by RoyalMail and they tried to deliver on Saturday. I was out. The next available date for delivery was Tuesday. It came, slightly worse for wear but considering it had been in the sorting office for 4 days, it wasn't too bad I won't complain!

When, the gluten free cake cake, came, it was ok, then I put it into the fridge, hoping to keep it for a few days, unfortunately, when I took it out of The fridge, it broke in to crumbed into bits, is was sweet shame And a lot of money at £14.99

Cake arrived well packaged and I put into the freezer. When defrosted the cake was moist and so very tasty, hard to tell if was Gluten Free! My only negative would be it would have been useful if the cake was cut into portions, other than that, perfect. I would reorder this item again!

The lemon cake tasted beautifully, its very light and delicious. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't have the decorations as shown in the picture. It also came in packaging that the cake icing became stuck to, so it didn't look beautiful when taken out of the packaging. Overall a great tasting cake but could be better protected and decorated.

The gluten free lemon sponge was beautifully packaged so that the decoration was perfect after unwrapping. The sponge was fresh and light with generous amounts of frosting and lemon paste. The whole family enjoyed this cake :)

I disliked that the cake uses margarine, the margarine contains seed oils, to which I am allergic. My neighbour liked her portion of the cake. There also appears to have a lemon curd in the layer, which would be fine if their ingredients had been listed. It would taste better without the butter icing and the lemon curd. So my neighbour and I decided to share with another neighbour that is a chef. And the chef said the lemon curd contained a wax possibly which makes the filling of curd taste funky. The cake arrived in the post this morning, the cake had a topping of water icing and butter icing. Except there were no stars as described in the picture, just a squashed clump of butter icing in the middle. Curds contain preservatives as does margarine which are NOT listed in the ingredients. Would I buy again? No If the ingredients were listed, maybe would buy again, with changes. I threw 3/4's of the cake away I gave it 3 stars because my neighbour liked it, the chef nor I liked it
