IC International Concepts 24" H Double X-Back Counter Height Stool Wood Barstool for Kitchen/Dining, Solid/Sturdy Parawood, Box Seat Construction, Paint or Stain in Any Color, Unfinished

I highly recommend these chairs. They are very solid. We purchased both the 24 inch and 29 inch chairs. I recommend to assemble the chairs first, before staining them. Then, partially disassemble them, and stain. Next, apply the first coat of verathane, or whichever sealer you are using, to the partially disassembled chair. Upon reassembly, I used a good quality wood glue on the ends of each of the 5 round dowel posts. I then reassembled, put the chairs on a level surface, made sure they didn't rock around) and tightened all bolts and screws. Also, I wiped off any excess wood glue before it dried. After 24 hours, I did a finish sanding with 220 grit sandpaper, and wiped the surface with a tack cloth. Finally, I applied the final finish coat of verathane (or use whichever sealer you prefer) to the assembled chair. These chairs certainly look very professional, and they all match perfectly! I used the same number of stain coats on each, which was three.

I'm a sucker for original pieces of furniture and DIY projects. I bought two of these chairs for my 40 in. counter. I like International Concepts furniture because you can do with them whatever you please. I easily painted these a medium gray color and then tied ribbon through the XX design. It's an excellent addition to my apartment. Fairly easy to assembly, took me about 45 minutes per chair. Easily done by 1 person, as most IC furniture comes pre-assembled for the complicated pieces. This came in 4 pieces.

We bought these for our kitchen bar. One of the chairs was slightly off balance but we were able to fix it with a grinder. They are solid and I love with the width of the chairs.

Trying to get the manufacturer to please provide assembly instructions... can someone please help... thank you

Easy to assemble. Got them unfinished. Wish we could buy more!!!

I think this chair is massed produced. The connecting legs didn't match up to the pre-drilled holes. I ordered 4 chairs. Two were defective in this department. OTHERWISE I would rate 5 stars. I LOVE the barstool!! The wood is beautiful and the chair is very sturdy once assembled. The seat is large enough for my 6ft. husband to sit comfortably. The return was easy, replacements came quickly and new ones were perfect. I plan on painting them and my kitchen update will be finished! I'll send picture when that is completed.

Perfect height for our island. I didn’t have any problems staining or finishing them. Two coats of stain and two coats of glossy top coat.
