Great beginner rods and reels. Cant beat the price.

Bought this set as I hate traveling with long fishing poles. The telescoping pole set is just what I needed. They easily pack up and go. I have a sling bag with my fishing stuff and they pack up in there nicely. I have only taken them out a couple of times... but It's been a great adventure with them. I had one snag on the rocks and I did not baby it trying to get it unstuck. I pulled and bent and whipped that pole in all kinds of directions trying to get the line unstock from the rocks. I thought for sure the pole would break.. IT DID NOT!! In the end I cut the line and oh boy what a line!! What is that?? 30lbs test?? O_o The line... tough as it is, was not ideal for pan fishing so I unspooled it and respooled with 10lb braided and a 6lbs fluoro leader. No more tangles and was able to cast much further. I kept the old line just in case I decide to go after sturgeon 😁 For the cost, I'm very happy with this set. I'll post more pictures as I use them more this summer.

A little flimsy

As someone that is just starting with the hobby, I wanted to take my father in law finishing and enjoying the many rivers and lakes around us. When shopping around this was a nice deal for a good price with a lot of added bonuses. To be honest I have yet to catch one fish with it , but that is probably my lack of experience in the field. When I used it , it felt good and built from quality materials for its price. It was pretty easy to use , my father in law showed me how to use it and it functions as designed, and it looks very nice indeed. I can’t approve yet it’s fishing ability but that will probably happen this season, once I gain more competence.

Purchased two of these for my grandsons who love to fish. Both are 9 years old. This was perfect for them to learn to care for their own equipment and not rely on someone else to do it for them.

This was a waste of money. I liked that the poles packed up small and came with a tool and small tackle box. But the instructions said nothing about how to use it. I fish infrequently but am not a complete beginner so I figured it out after some trial and error. I got one pole put together, added it to my 15 year old . And within minutes the top cap had popped off the reel and into the lake making the entire reel worthless (though we did happen to catch a small sunny when pulling the line back in by hand!). The second pole was fine for a while but got tangled quickly after a few casts, despite being cautious. After taking it apart and rethreading it 5 or 6 times, I gave up on it too. We honestly had great success with the child’s fishing pole that I already owned. The tool and tackle box are useful, however, so I guess I got those out of the deal.

Perfect

Good set, took it on a flight to Caribbean, lightweight and compact. Pulled a few fish with it. Reel is afraid of whater, especially salty (there are metal parts inside), dipped one in the ocean, did not clean after, 2 days later it was hard to turn. Dipped second one as well, but rinsed it under fresh water and it kept working. As other mentioned, line that comes on reels is better to replace with a higher quality.

Excellent quality well built and caught a fish first cast. Was a great gift for my buddies birthday.

I mean for the money its pretty awesome. The reels and tackle alone are worth the cost, and the telescopic rods are cool. This wont replace serious fishing combo, but for travel convenience its great.

Good for lake fishing

Fishing rad is pretty good do to the design easy to be used.
