Men's Fresh Foam X 860 V12 Running Shoe

I have a pair of the New Balance Fresh Foam V4 More shoes and they are great. But the V5’s are even better. Background story: I wanted to lose some weight by running on my treadmill and lifting some weights. But I developed plantar fasciitis (inflammation in my right foot) and I simply could not run at all. Then I bought the New Balance Fresh Foam V4 More shoes and they are so wonderfully cushioned I could run again! I lost 42 pounds (and my goal was only 20 pounds). The V4’s are great but they’re not perfect. Enter the New Balance Fresh Foam V5 More shoes!! Heaven. They are even more cushioned and more comfortable than the V4’s. The “tongue” doesn’t bunch up or move to the side like the V4’s tongue tends to do while running. And finally, the fit is perfect…almost like a custom shoe…at least for my feet. I have never had a more cushioned and comfortable shoe in my life! Honestly, the V4 changed my life and the V5 made my life even better. I have no clue how accurate my smart-scale is regarding how healthy I have become but it says I shaved seven years off my metabolic age. I would take that claim with a grain of salt. A few things that are absolutely true…I am far healthier than I was before, I actually enjoy running again, and my love handles have been sent to the blubber graveyard. Oh, one more thing….every time I see a woman from age 25 to 96….they invariably give me their phone number while simultaneously saying , “Nice shoes, Ramrod….and even nicer slim and trim body”! Okay, I made that last part up, but everything else in this review is 100% accurate!! Get the V5’s….especially, if you’re suffering from any type of manageable foot pain and still want to jog/run….or simply want a perfectly cushioned shoe. Side note: I have two relatives who have bought the V4’s and V5’s just for the cushioning. They use them exclusively as every day “around the house” and walking shoes ….and love them. Bottom line: The New Balance Fresh Foam V5 More is an absolutely great shoe!!

Love it, trained for and ran a 5k in them after not running for about a year or so. Very comfortable, stylish, you can feel the quality as I ordered a wide size and it fits well without being too forgiving/loose and not too tight

Comfiest running shoes I’ve ever owned great for long distance goes. They look great also. They feel like they were made with with intent. Definitely higher quality. I’d recommend and I’d buy again

I’ve tried countless walking shoes over the years, but the New Balance Fresh Foam X More V5 absolutely stands out. From the moment I slipped them on, the fit was spot-on—secure without being tight, and roomy where it counts. The maximum cushioning is no joke: it feels like walking on memory foam that somehow knows exactly how to support each step. Whether I’m doing long city walks or just running errands, these shoes keep my feet fresh and fatigue-free. The sole absorbs impact beautifully, and the breathable upper keeps things cool even on warmer days. Honestly, they’ve become my go-to for walking, and I’d rank them among the best I’ve ever used. If comfort, support, and all-day wearability matter to you, these are a no-brainer.

I like that the shoes are extremely comfortable but the picture is misleading. The color looks more grey on Amazon but they’re more of a light stale blue color. The shoes also do run a bit small, I usually wear a 11 in women’s shoes so I order a 9.5 in men x-wide since everyone said they run small. The shoe also just says wide don’t know if there’s actually a x-wide.

These grew on me after repeated use. I was accustomed to very very spongy New Balance max cushion shoes, and these were slightly more firm than he mushiest ones, but this works very well. I power-walk with hand weights, with occasional bursts of running, but in any event, I like the mix of support and cushion a lot. The outsoles also have held up well. I bought 2 pairs of these, and I'm very glad I did.

Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. Insane stack height, makes it feel like you are waking on clouds. Only con is some stability issues but base is wide enough to make it negligible. Great value for the money compared to the competition. Shoes is fairly heavy, provides great traction, very stylish, and functional.

As someone who runs on a treadmill almost daily, these are a must. The extra foam cushioning is amazing. Even if you are just a avid walker or like weight training, these help absorb some impact. I have never had a problem with the durability of New Balance, even after the equivalent of hundreds of miles of use. They are true to size.
