This is a super hat. It is very lightweight and made of a cotton-nylon mix. It fits a 59-60cm head well with a little bit of space, which is perfect for active wear. It has buttons on the side so you can wear it like a 'bush-hat', having worn it in the sun all day, you don't get hot or sweaty - probably due to the lightweight material and ventilation holes, as well as a single thickness top of the hat. The hat is double-walled thickness all over except from the top (which helps it breath), so I don't believe it would provide total sun protection for a bald person, though it would certainly provide some. The brim is a good width and stiffness but won't cover your whole face from the sun. In the picture I have pulled the hat up slightly but if you pull it down it covers about 2/3 of your face. You can roll this hat up for easy storage and it has a chinstrap which I actually used around the back of my head to secure it in place. I would definitely recommend it - an absolute bargain for £5.23.

Absolutely brilliant hat (although my lovely sister says I need corks hanging off it!!!) I suffer from hay fever which can cause sinus infections eventually. This hat gives sun shade and, if I do happen to get under trees or bushes, IT collects the pollen instead of my hair. Highly recommend this product. Good price too.

I've been blessed/cursed with a 60cm head, given that most hats are 59cm, it leaves me with tight hats but this is a beaut.It's 60cm, maybe a little snug, but at least I know it won't be flying off in the wind, and is what you want from a hat. It stays in place, easily cleaned, is comfortable.Will buy again.

About half the price of an alternative though the chin-strap is not removable and the headband is not adjustable.As it happened a good fit for me but that's more a matter of luck.Good value as a spare but I prefer the better quality version at twice the price.

Fantastic value as this hat seems to be the same as others being sold for about a tenner. Exactly what I need, but the reason for only stars is the colour is not as "white" as the picture suggests. It is much more of a creamy colour, but still a great product.

This was a gift for my husband. He needed a hat he could fold and shove in a bag. This hat is perfect for his requirements. Nice quality and keeps the sun off. Washable.

Very good for in the garden keeping the sun off your head but no sweat band
