Just what I needed outside of our sliding door to catch the debris.

I was going to return it because I don’t like how it looks like it’s just a piece that they cut off but decided to keep it because it worked out perfect. I got a mat from Home Depot and it fits right inside of it for my dogs water bowl that looks like a kitchen sink so in the long run, I have to say I’m pretty happy with it. The quality is good. My only thing I did not like the photo. It looks like it’s has rounded edges which it absolutely does not.

I liked the product, but I guess I was using this for something it was not intended. I originallly purchased a pee-pad setup that came with artifical grass for the whelping box. The grass from the pee-pad did not hold-up, so I purchased this product to replace that grass. It is much thicker and durable and did a good job of holding up to pups that were constantly using it. Clean-up was easy with a little Lysol spray and a hose. The only downer was that the strands of grass on the edge were slowly peeling away. Overall the grass was better than I expected, but I would be hesitant using it in a whelping box for any long duration.

We kept it outside and tried to train her to go on it. It worked for a good week or two, but then animals like bunnies came and started eating and ripping and tearing at it during the nighttime so now it’s ripped up and probably will throw out and have to order something else a little more sturdy. Was Teaching puppy to go for winter time in a few months and this will never last even puppy tries to chew on the ends and it shreds easily.

I am actually pretty impressed with this mat. It’s fairly soft to the touch and is easy to clean. It was purchased to line the bottom of my Eurasian dove’s enclosure. She loves to pick through the “grass” and find little treats that I’ve hidden. She has no complaints about bedding down in it either. When I opened it initially there was minimal shedding as well.The only downside was there was a pretty strong smell when I first opened it. I gave a a couple of good rinses and left it to air out for a couple of days.

Initially I was so happy with this purchase that I sent it to my many other doggy moms and bragged about it on Facebook, but I’m not sure that I would now. A friend of mine that breeds Yorkies recommended getting faux grass to teach my Shih Tzu puppy to potty in the grass. She sent me a link to a $25-30 one with a hard plastic tray that the grass sat in. After looking through Amazon I saw this one for much cheaper l, and the reviews made me hopeful because it is supposed to be leak proof. My 2 pound Shih Tzu is terrified of being in the kennel so she spends most of her time on my bed. She is too small to jump up and down so it leaves us having to put the grass pad on the far corner of our bed to avoid accidents. She is doing phenomenal with potty training and when she does go, she has learned to only go on the grass pad so I was extremely happy until I picked it up today to rinse it out and realized that my bed was soaked with urine underneath the grass. I thought maybe it was leaking from the sides so to test it I put it on the floor and poured 1/4 cup water on it and it immediately started running across the floor, this isn’t leak proof at all! I would suggest this if you are willing to still use puppy pads underneath (so defeats the money you save by not having to use pee pads), only use it outside which also kind of defeats the purpose, or buy a kennel tray that it can sit on.

I love it, perfect for winter if you want to go outside to pretend is summer. Our dog also uses it to either sleep on or roll around. I am about to order a second one.😃
