This bar soap is amazing! It cleans like no other. I love the light pine scent it gives. The only thing it is drying a bit. So, you should follow up with body lotion afterwards. But you feel squeaky clean and fresh. Ever since this was introduced to me from a family member, I have never in 2 years bothered to buy another bar soap and do not plan on it (Except for the times my budget will not allow lol.) It is expensive because of the quality you are getting. Duke Cannon has a good amount of other bar soaps, I just personally love this one.

Duke Cannon makes a lot of products, they sell them at Walmart. They sell them at truck stops and they sell them at Target and other places. I have been using their products for a long time and try different scents over the years. But this is by far the best one. You will definitely be smelling like you went to the Caribbean with this. And this big ass brick of soap, it will last you. My only gripe is I wish they had different products instead of just soap. Maybe do canning can throw me a shampoo or conditioner. I know they got the cologne, but this is by far the best. It will definitely leave you smelling good.

Bought to try out and it smells amazing. Bonus points because it apparently smells like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney World (in my opinion). If youre feeling nostalgic or want a good smelling soap, try it out!

When Duke Cannon Supply Co. calls this a "Big Ass Brick," it is not kidding. This is EASILY 2.5x the volume of a typical bar of soap—the green soap on the left is a brand-new bar of Zest, unboxed and placed next to the BAB for comparison. This is kind of a pain if we're being honest; I can (barely) span a basketball and I still found the BAB awkward to hold in the shower. It's nice to get this much soap for the money, but it would have been much better delivered as two or even three smaller, perhaps even more ergonomically shaped (like the saddle shape of the Zest bar on the left) bars. Beyond the size, this soap has a pleasant, noticeable scent in the shower, but that scent is completely gone from your skin by the time you towel off—don't expect to impress a significant other with how nice you smell based on the Bay Rum scent of the soap. It lathers up moderately well, and it's noticeably non-moisturizing. I wouldn't really recommend this soap unless you've got significantly oily skin. I went on a big Duke Cannon buying binge recently, and I highly recommend their line of thick shower gels, which ARE moisturizing, and which DO leave a pleasant but not overpowering scent on your skin after toweling off. Not a fan of this BAB of soap, or of their shampoo/conditioners, though. I think they got one thing right--the thick shower gels--and are still feeling their way around trying to replicate that success in other products like this one.

Tbf I have a sensitivity to fragrance. I thought since this had such great reviews it would be good but the smell is not leathery to me at all. It’s a bit sweet actually which I’m not fond of. I haven’t been able to bring myself to use it for this reason and since it’s huge that’s a shame. I’m going to make myself use this bar up anyway to not waste it but if you are sensitive to fragrance this is not for you. ******* Update: so I started using the soap and while I still don’t get leather, I do get a whiff of the leaf and it’s a nice smell not too strong and it lathers well and does a good job. I was wrong and raised my star rating. The smell is very light and did not give me headaches despite my being sensitive to strong artificial smells. I’m going to get a couple others to stock up for a few months.

I love the scent of this soap, and it makes a great lather. The bars are big, but last for weeks. This scent seems to always be the least expensive in their line up, but it's certainly still a great soap.

Soap came in product boxes also wrapped in think plastic and we could still smell the soap before opening the Amazon shipping box, so scents very strong - but not in a bad way! We tried a number of the scents; guys uniformly liked the pine soap, and the gals liked the Busch Sandalwood and Duke Cannon Midnight Swim. Brick too big for my small hands (female), but we got the D.C. Tactical Soup On a Rope Pouch for my Dad (almost 90 years old!) because he has trouble holding on to things, and that provided a good solution for us both. Seems a little pricey, but apparently it's a "cult" thing, and appears to be longer-lasting than other bars of soap. Very well received by various gift-ees overall.
