You Don't Need GKids to Get This Handy Rechargeable Lamp
The media could not be loaded. I love silly and whimsical things and now we got smaller grandkids again, I can use the “those are for the grandkids” excuse to my husband when I get those. But really, those rechargeable night lights are very handy to have because old houses like ours don’t have many outlets like modern houses and we pretty much used them up for all those other devices we didn’t have 60 years ago. And we constantly get power outages, so this should also help for a while. This cutie is about the size of my hand. It’s really light and small enough to place it anywhere. It’s silicone so if you drop it on your foot, it won’t hurt you and it won’t break like a regular lamp. Yes, I've done that a few times already. This comes with a remote control and it works fine. Until I started recording the video that I posted here, I thought the touch sensor didn’t work at all. I realized that in order for the touch sensor to work, I have to smack this poor thing really hard from behind… Hmm... I’ll stick with the remote. That said, it seems the remote control feature will be turned off if you don't use it for a while. I turn this light on every night but I cannot turn it on with the remote the next day. As you can see in my video, I have to push the button in the back every night, which is not too much trouble but I wish I could just turn it on with a remote. There are many colors to choose from. Most of the colors are too much for my old eyes but I’m sure our younger granddaughter will be thrilled to go through each color when she visits us next time. I usually use the default white, sometimes orange, or light blue. Oh, I must mention that you can also adjust the brightness. The heartbeat icon will change colors. I don't get it but I’m sure grandkids would like it. The tree icon button is pretty neat. It says it’s the “breathing mode.” I believe this is for the breathing technique to calm yourself down. The light gently changes its color. I love it.I usually turn this lamp on before going to bed and set a timer for an hour. All three timer settings work (I tried and checked them all). I also charge it every week. I might be able to charge less frequently but I don't want to take a chance of not having the light when I need it.Except that I have to smack hard on the back of its poor thing's head (again, using the remote works fine with me), I really have no issues with this cute little guy, and therefore, it deserves all five stars!

So adorable and functional!
The media could not be loaded. Oh, my goodness, I love this little owl nightlight so much. I actually got it for my brother, who just had a baby, but it is so cute and useful for me that I decided to keep it (I love owls) and get another one for my brother/nephew.First of all, this nightlight is cute as can be. But it also serves its purpose well. He can keep you company on your desk as your work through the night, shifting in pretty colors, or you can use it as a night light to see what you need and not disturb anyone else - once again as you work through the night. lolThis guy is balanced just right, so he can stand anywhere you put him. Even on soft areas like the couch or bed - unlike other lamps that fall over. As you can see in my picture, he sits there undistributed, lighting up the papers on my bed while I type. I would never have imagined I would like this nightlight so much or find so many uses for it. It is squishy, won't easily break, and the light is just right to be pleasant but not hurt your eyes. He is the perfect little working late companion.I also have to get another one for my new little nephew because it will be great for his parents to have an easy and not too bright light when they have to get up with the baby at night. As you can see in my video, you only have to tap it to turn it on, so they will not have to stumble for a switch or remote (but it has a switch on the back and a remote).I think the baby will find the lights soothing since they are not too bright and transition fast enough to be visually interesting but not so much to be overstimulating. Plus, when the baby gets bigger, this will work for him to carry around, sleep with, and play with safely. I wish we'd had something like this when my kiddos were little - they would have loved it.Overall this nightlight is awesome, and I have no reservations recommending it for adults and children. It is really cool.

Soft useful light for white or rainbow light, with 15-30-60 timer and a remote
This cute soft lamp comes with a remote control to set the color choice, timer, and whether the rainbow lights change abruptly or gradually. The functions of the remote are not all clear -- the step-change rainbow lights button icon is a heartbeat, and the gradually changing rainbow lights button is a pine tree. There is a guide in the package -- keep it handy! The light can be charged via the included USB cable and the battery lasts a few days. The white light is bright enough to be a bedtime reading lamp, and the lamp itself is soft enough that you don't need to worry about it being in the bed next to your book. You can tap the light directly to switch it to white light, dim it, or turn it off. The other features are only on the remote control, which is small and slim and we taped it to the bottom of the lamp with blue tape so we don't lose it! There is a hole in the bunny's ear so you can hang the lamp up (I guess?) so it really looks like a bunny floating on a cloud. We're not going to do that, though, because I think that will make charging it more of a chore. We use it as a study buddy or reading timer on the 30 minute setting -- we tested it against another timer and it's accurate. When it's next to the computer it's easy to charge when needed! I only wish the remote was a little easier to understand, but I am happy with the wealth of features so it's a fair trade.
