MizunoWomen's Wave Rider 28 Running Shoe

THE running shoe nobody is talking about
I’ve been running in the wave rider for many years and I’ve worn most of the other popular shoe brands. If you’ve got an Achilles tendon to take good care of or you just want a shoe you can run sprints and a 4-miler, these are for you. They have a few cute colors but black is always my choice. These are durable and wear well over time. I ended up going up one half size and they fit perfectly. Even after a hard workout my feet are still quite comfortable and not too hot.

Love these
Honestly, these are my 9th pair. They are my favorite running shoe and now I have a pair for walking and for everyday use. I will never buy anything else.

Good choice.
Comfortable, size is correct and just what I expected. I had a previous pair that lasted until they were worn out.

Great running shoes!
The media could not be loaded. I love these Mizuno Wave Rider 28’s! Same great feel as all of my other prior versions from them. I was able to get two pair and I love the crisp white color with a pop of blue. I love the feel and have been able to get more miles out of Mizuno Wave Riders than competitors shoes.

Good running shoe
I am quite satisfied with this running shoe. I ran in a different brand for 25 years. I had to switch after they drastically changed the heel-to-toe drop from13mm to 8mm. I had a severe Achilles Tendon injury years ago and need at least a 12mm HTT drop or I feel pain. After a lot of research, I decided to try the Mizuno Wave Rider. It’s a comfortable shoe and doesn’t aggravate my Achilles. I did have a problem with the outer edge of the side of the shoe rubbing under the bottom of my ankle bone. I changed the insert with a thicker one and that eliminated the problem. I also feel they should add some softer padding in the heel area.

Unfortunate diversion from previous versions
Ah, I am so sad. Mizunos have been my favorite shoe for years and years, but this model was appallingly different. Too high in on the ankle, too wide in the toe, and super stiff. My feet actually hurt after a mile walk!

Rubbed ankle too much
Sides of the show were higher than the previous couple years’ designs, which made the shoe uncomfortable because they rubbed against my ankle and tendon. Had to return.

Disappointed
I’m a big fan of Mizuno. However, this pair caused me pain in my heels and mid foot.
