High quality material, but most importantly, it relieved neck pain.
I have a desk job and have spent years sitting at a computer without any major issues, but more recently I’ve been experiencing significant neck pain. My posture hasn’t changed, so I couldn’t understand why the pain started. After doing some research online, I came across this device and also decided to try a new pillow. I bought both, and since then I’ve been pain-free most days. When the discomfort does come back, using this device for just 15 minutes relieves the pain for several days. That tells me this device—more than the pillow—is what’s actually helping, though I’m not willing to experiment by removing the pillow just to find out. I’d rather avoid the pain altogether. One small drawback: the Velcro straps (the hook side) on the left have very sharp corners, and they can dig into your neck during use. This is easy to fix by simply rounding the corners of the straps with scissors, which completely eliminates the issue. The device works perfectly fine without additional modifications, full stop. Another optional improvement: the hand pump is attached using standard Luer lock connectors. This was actually the primary deciding factor for me when purchasing the device, because I immediately saw the possibility of an easy upgrade. If you want to enhance usability, you can replace the manual hand pump with a low-pressure battery-powered pump—the type used for inflating beach balls, not car tires. The advantage is that you can set a specific pressure and return to the exact same inflated level at the press of a button, without guessing. If you prefer having both options, you can add a Luer lock T-connector so both the manual and powered pumps remain attached. Use the hand pump to fine-tune the device to your ideal comfort level, then use the powered pump to read the exact pressure. Once you know the right setting, you can save it on the pump and reach the perfect inflation level every single time. My only reason for writing this review is to help someone else decide whether this device might help them the way it helped me. Neck pain is literally a pain in the neck, and this device has brought me tremendous relief. I’m not using any medications, so there’s no possibility that my results are from another therapeutic route. I genuinely hope some of you experience the same relief and improved comfort that I have.

An amazing way to create space with a traction pillow !
Absolutely loving this traction pillow! A massage therapist I receive treatments from recommended this to me and I’m thankful for her expertise. I recently experienced a neck injury and this has been a major help for my healing. It was recommended to try a few minutes after easing into the pillow’s pressure (inflating slowly ) then decreasing the pressure slowly ( before removing the pillow). I’m working towards having the pillow on for longer periods of time though 5 minutes is a great start. Honestly it’s an amazing way to spend a little more than $20 and I feel a lot better after even spending 5 minutes using it. I have had a bit of experience with a more intense traction device in which I lay down and set my head into it. Though I recommend trying this pillow as it’s simpler to manage. The only part about this pillow I don’t love 100% is the Velcro to attach the sides together sometimes is difficult to fasten if the pillow is pumped and I’m not directly in front of a mirror. Sometimes the Velcro wants to adhere to the non Velcro area. I’m telling everybody I know who might benefit from this traction pillow about it!

Helps my neck
I get frequent headaches from pain in my right shoulder and it goes up the right side of my neck (assuming the computer is the culprit). I do go to the chiropractor once a month. I purchased this in hopes that it would help the neck and relieve pain. It has done just that. It has definitely helped with the pressure. The air does leak out gradually during use but you can give it a couple of pumps and it is good to go. This has definitely helped.

Great for spine issues
They use this on me at my physical therapy to open up my spine to help fluids move. I bought this to use at home and it works perfect. It's nice to have so that when my physical therapy ends I can continue to use. The price was very reasonable and this is also HSA approved, so if you have an HSA account you can get reimbursed. A win win.

It did not work for me but it might for you
I've had spinal surgery on my neck front and back. I have a pinched nerve in my left upper and side shoulder which is extremely painful. With my insurance I was able to go see a therapist which I thought was a waste of time but to my surprise I laid face down on a table with a hole for my face to go through. She gently pulled on my head to stretch my spine and the pain was instantly gone. Anyway she gave me exercises to do and I ordered this to see if I could get the same result which I did not. It seems to be a well made item and it might work for you but it didn't for me.

Relieve tension and neck pain
This cervical traction device has been very useful to relieve tension and neck pain. It is comfortable, easy to use and can be gradually adjusted according to the need. After using it, I feel the neck more relaxed. It is a good option to use at home and complement rest and posture.

Either bad quality or defective item
Worked good when it worked I used it for a few days when I bought it stored it somewhere where it shouldn’t have any reason to get damaged and when I tried using it again it won’t hold air. I tried tightening the little knob that traps the air by the pump more and that did nothing I tried trapping the air with the little ball in the upper part of the tube and air still escaped and that only left one thing the air was escaping from the tubes that hold the air around the neck. I pumped air in again and listened and I can hear air escaping from within the neck area I’ve used it maybe 4 days at most and not even that high of a pressure maybe I got some old tubes or defective product idk but sure wish it was working right now. I can’t see any damage so it’s something that happened in the interior

Well Made Neck Traction Device
I have had this traction device for 1 week and It has definitely helped my neck. I like it. The traction device is well made and the material that is around your neck is very soft. I give the 4-star rating only because the traction device slowly looses pressure so you must pump it up every 20 seconds or so. It is not a big deal.
