Always beautiful!

This is the second one we've gotten from Anatolian Puzzles, and the Christmas present one was just completed in May. Beautiful images, sturdy pieces, ready for anyone with a lot of concentration, surface space, and joy of a challenge.

This is the first puzzle I didn’t finish. It was just so frustrating to work on. The pieces are extremely pixilated/grainy which makes it really hard to get any idea of what you’re even working on. I’d find like colors and piece them together but then have no idea where they actually went in the puzzle. This image simply doesn’t work at 3000 pieces. This isn’t my first Anatolian puzzle, nor is it my first Sung Kim picture. I’ve attached a photo showing the much better clarity of the Sung Kim pieces on a 1500 (also an Anatolian) vs. on this one. And even beyond the grainy pieces, the cuts on this one aren’t done very well. I did multiple places where they didn’t line up all the way. They are also cut very loose making it impossible to work a section and then move it. It’ll fall apart. I’m not sure how you work a puzzle this size and never pick up a section. There’s also a lot of “does this go here?” where a piece will fit but isn’t correct. Again, I attribute this to the sloppy cuts. It was hard for me to quit on this puzzle but it just wasn’t any fun. I do like the Anatolian brand, but if this had been my first experience with them, it’d probably have also been my last. So while I recommend them as a company, I definitely do not recommend this puzzle. It’s unfortunate because I think the image would have worked beautifully as a 1500 or even 2000. But it’s just not suited to a 3000. I don’t think this is something that all puzzle companies grasp. You can’t always make a bigger puzzle by just blowing an image up to a bigger size. The image really needs to be highly detailed to go into the larger piece counts. While I will continue to work Anatolian puzzles in the future, I will definitely think twice before selecting any of their larger piece count puzzles again.

Nice puzzle but it doesn’t come with a picture so you can only go with the picture on the box.

The construction quality is top-notch. The finished puzzle is stunningly beautiful. There is a bit of grain to the individual pieces as some of the other reviewers noted, but I found this made the puzzle easier because it gave a clue as to how the piece should be oriented. Overall, I thought the puzzle difficulty was very fair. I have done 2000 piece puzzles that were more tedious because of lack of color/image contrast.

Liked the picture. Some of the pieces ripped if move in the box too much

Having purchased this brand of puzzle before I had no hesitation in buying more however I was disappointed with this particular puzzle. The picture was almost like looking at a piece of knitting rather than a painting or piece of art. I was enjoying it so little that I abandoned the puzzle before I had even constructed the border. In conclusion I’m afraid it has made me very wary of buying more of this brand.
