I wasn’t sure if this knob had a silver ring with glass overlay but it is a solid glass knob! They are pretty heavy compared to a standard doorknob which I like. The knob must be locked from the inside push button followed by closing the door to use the keyed side for unlocking. That is different than I’m used to but functionally it locks and is able to be unlocked with a key, which is what I wanted. The install was easy once I realized the best way to disassemble the boxed knob. 1st try I removed both inside and outside knobs and had a bit of a challenge getting the pieces back together. I found removing the push lock knob is all that’s needed making my 2nd doorknob take only a few minutes to install. Part of the ease was not having to try to screw in the plate screws around a pre attached knob because the knob snaps into place last after the plates are on. I’m very pleased with how they function and look.

It's pretty but comes loose. Hard to install

This is the perfect knob to combine cottage and glam styles without overpowering each other for a hime office door. The packaged arrived on time with all the parts and was easy to install. Definitely the right choice!
