I bought a whole bunch of different no-show socks to see if I could find one that fit, stayed in place all day, didn’t show above my shoe line, didn’t fall apart, and wasn’t uncomfortable. Trying to use these with boat shoes and loafers. Each brand of sock has a fatal flaw, including this one. This Ralph Lauren sock is relatively average when it comes to no-show socks. The material is a cotton blend that’s on the thinner side for use in dress shoes. There is seam tape over the rim of the sock. So far, very similar to plenty of other no-shows. The Polo pony is embroidered and there is no backing layer between the embroidery and your skin (more on that later). These socks fit fine with decent stretch and the area at the top of the foot is on the lower side, but still shows a bit for me. Same on the sides and back, which makes it kind of pointless as a no-show sock. But my shoes are apparently rather low and have a short vamp as I’m discovering, so they might work for you. These socks seem to slip off the heel like many no-show dress socks. There is inside silicone backing, but I’ve found the cotton blend socks tend to have too much friction while walking that ends up pushing these sorts of socks down the heel. If your heel tends to press solidly against your shoe, these might be ok for you. These socks do feel like they fit well otherwise. Last thing is that embroidered pony. My shoes are tight at the vamp, and the embroidery gets uncomfortable to the point it makes a mark on the top of my foot. Since nobody will see this logo, I’m not sure what the point is? Maybe just silk screen a logo so it’s not a source of discomfort? Or forgo it altogether? It’s kind of the final nail on the coffin on these socks. I would not buy again, but maybe your situation will be different. To be clear, I’ve not yet found any no-show dress sock that works well consistently (athletic socks are a different story), and that goes beyond my recent attempts and stretches back at least 10-15 years. Some last a few wears, others work with one pair of shoes but not another, etc. Almost all slip off the heel and bunch up underneath the arch within a few wearings, if not immediately. Nothing is more annoying than stopping to reset no-show socks several times over the course of the day. The quest continues.

I like the sticky strip on the heel as the socks do not slide off your heel
