Will Segway honor the warranty if I buy this on amazon? My boyfriend bought one on amazon that stopped working and the warranty wasn’t honored.

Customer service is horrible. It’s been a month and they still giving me the run around. My ninebot Max scooter is not working. The throttle doesn’t work. Error code 14. Both tires loses air daily. I tried calling about 20 times. On hold for 15 plus minutes just for an automated machine to tell me that their is no available agent.

How many pounds will it take

I weight about 220 pounds and I sometimes have gone for groceries, about uhh 50 more pounds and still run quick. I would say itll take like 400 pounds till it starts slowing down, the pneumatic tires are a pain in the boote, but not sure if they will hold the air, probably

Finally the max speed is 15.5 mph or 18.6 mph?

Just be aware a lot of reviewers here are mistakenly reporting speeds that are in KPH, not MPH. You have to change the speed measurement via the app to see MPH as it displays KPH by default. In my experience when in Sport mode it can go up to 19 MPH. The heavier you are and the more drained the battery is, however, the slower it will go. I’m 180lbs.

Why is this a newer version yet the normal MAX has better specs?

the newer version is a little shorter and the handlebars are a little lower , and has less range & smaller battery, probably more suitable for a child or petite lady, for short neighborhood riding. the Original SEGWAY MAX is a heavy duty model with double the range , slightly larger in length and height , more suitable for an adult rider that weighs more and needs the extra powered battery
