Highly recommend for uplighting and moving head lights!
Tried this for an event i recently did. Worked great!! Only advice is to learn a little about DMX first. Instructions were clear, easy to use for beginners. Was able to control up to 24 lights, no problem! Blackout function worked great! Great value for the price!

Easy to use
Once you watch a few youtube videos on how to program works like a champ.

excellent value but low quality case and buttons/knobs
This is a low cost solution for controlling lights. I use this in my wife's youth musical theater for adding lighting affects to products she hosts in small school theaters with no lighting. This controller is easy to learn and easy to learn. You can have enough preprogrammed scenes for most productions and it is easy and quick enough to switch scenes. The only thing I do not like about this unit is just the cosmetics. While it functions and performs fine, the unit I received was warped and does not sit flat on a flat surface. The result is that it wobbles every time you use it. I should have probably returned it as I am sure they are not all like this but it is a very cheaply manufactured unit and the buttons and knobs are all cheap. Good when you are on a budget but for more serious work you probably need to spend some money on a higher quality unit.

The music Bank feels like a person is running it it's amazing
I use it for a 32 par20 light show after I figured out how to program my dimmer packs to take commands from the Rockville controller I love the end result the music Bank in the controller is amazing it has a random algorithm that makes it perform as if it's being controlled by a person I'm proud and very happy to own the Rockville rockforce 384 it's fade time in the controller works when the music Bank is running which is amazing thank you Rockville for making this wonderful product

Saving frequently corrupts contents - unit is maybe defective?
This product simply put doesn't function in the way intended. I have been working with it now for a couple of hours, and frequently, when I save a scene, the first scene gets corrupted, with seemingly random values. When I auto run the scene program, the first scene gets corrupted. I also see some fixtures 'flicking' with unclear DMX signal on scene 1; I know sometimes a terminator may help in this situation, but my run is not even 100', and I run the same fixtures through Rekordbox DMX without any issues, so I'm guessing it's a controller issue. It's pretty cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for?

Not recommended. Minimal functionality, cheap sliders, deletes scenes, bad display..
This needs a good review so here goes.I purchased this for a mobile DJ setup. I have more than 12 fixtures that need to be individually controlled so the smaller controllers were not an option. I thought getting this would save me money since professional controllers start at around $200.00.Shipping was quick and the package was in good condition when it arrived. Once I removed the controller from the packaging, the first thing I noticed was that there was something rattling around inside. Being handy with modern electronics, I opened the unit and found an unmounted (extra) component loose inside the controller's housing. Not wanting it to short anything out, I removed the offending piece and closed the unit back up.No damage was done from the loose part that I could tell. The buttons are decent, the sliders are OK but feel super cheap. One slider on mine has a spot where it feels gritty. The display on mine has segments that will go out.To make chases, you string scenes together but when I create chases, scene 3 magically disappears.Instructions with this unit are terrible. To be fair, customer service is working with me now and were prompt to reply. If you have more than 12 fixtures that need independent control, do not buy this controller. If you want individual control of that many fixtures, you obviously have ideas that go far beyond the abilities of this controller. There is no cross fading between scenes. Chases do not store speed. Those two basic functions make this unsuitable for anyone wanting to do more that extremely basic things. Every fixture is assigned 16 channels (max) whether it uses all 16 or not. That is why this is limited to 24 fixtures.I am not saying this will not work for anyone, I just can't say who.Just be sure you have minimal needs before buying this. I would even hesitate to use it as a beginner controller because it does so little and does it so poorly.

Seems okay
The controller itself seems to work as described. That is if you can have a basic understanding on how these work. Videos are hard to come by and the light sent with it is cheap and had already stopped working after 4 days. I have actually called Rockville only for them to take a message and never call me back. I guess they already made their money off me. Probably will be send this back and going digital.
