Hello - Yes, the Jabra Evolve 75 SE is compatible with macOS as well as iPhones. The Jabra Direct Application is also available for macOS.

Q: What is the difference between MS Teams and UC?

The main difference between MS (Microsoft) and UC (Unified Communications) headsets is that MS headsets are certified for Microsoft Teams and work with it out of the box. UC headsets are certified for other platforms. MS headsets have a dedicated key to launch Microsoft Teams. They may also have a light to indicate when you are using the Microsoft soft phone. UC headsets may not have access to the same shortcuts or notifications as the Teams-certified version. MS and UC headsets are almost identical in terms of features and price. They can both be used to make calls over the internet using softphones. However, Microsoft doesn't allow other softclient integration into certified headsets. This means that any built-in features on the UC headset, such as volume controls, won't work

Hello, tdr - Thank you for your question. The Microsoft (MS) variants, which are certified for use with Microsoft Teams, support a plug-and-play experience with the following features: 1. The automatic selection of the MS variant as the default communication device. 2. Microsoft Teams LED notifications that are visible on the Jabra Link Bluetooth adapter. 3. Use of the Answer/end button to support interaction between the headset and Microsoft Teams on a computer. 4. If multiple MS devices are present, call prioritization will send the audio to the device that was used to answer an incoming call. If you use an MS variant with a different softphone client, the MS variant should work the same as a UC variant does with regard to audio and standard features such as answer/end calls, adjust volume, and mute microphone. If you do not use Microsoft Teams as your softphone client, we recommend you use a UC variant, which is certified for use with all leading UC platforms including Cisco, Mitel, and Avaya. If you use a UC variant with Microsoft Teams, the plug-and-play experience will not be available. You can set up audio and call control features manually by selecting the UC variant as the default communication device in the Microsoft Teams settings.
