This Ukrainian taste approves!
Best Buckwheat yet I have found. My family came from Odesa by the beach, Ukraine. We ate a lot of Kasha, which is buckwheat groats- not a wheat at all. No gluten, tons of fiber vitamins am=nd minerals, nutty, earthy flavor. It is great with Farfalle pasta- bowties. You can do so much with Kasha. Its a 3 meal a day thing. Its not easy to find in some cities. Impossible in Anchorage were I live. Easier to find an albino black bear. It was much cleaner than popular Russian brand that I got that always needed cleaning, tasted musty, buckwheat keeps for a long time if dry stored. Its yummy . This is excellent Kasha. It is very clean. You need not wash it! Nothing comes off of it. There are no directions in Russian to wash it. I tried making it in a rice cooker twice- too mushy unless substituting for oatmeal. Its a superfood.

Great product
I’ve been eating this for lowering blood pressure. I visited my doctor and my blood pressure was normal after eating this daily for about 3 weeks. My wife prepares it with first dry skillet roasting, and cook it with water like cereal and then serve with butter, honey and yogurt. Taste great

Consistent Excellent Product
They're a consistently excellent product. I am gluten intolerant and these buckwheat groats are a mainstay. I think they're a good value for the price.

Consistently Fresh and High Quality
I've been using Anthony's Organic Hulled Buckwheat Groats for breakfast for about 2 years now. I make overnight style, mixing a half cup with a scoop of hemp heart seeds, cook in the microwave for 4 minutes, then add protein powder, soy milk, walnuts, and berries. The groats are always fresh and the supply has been consistent. I prefer groats to steel-cut oatmeal, though I eat the latter a couple of days a week to mix things up. Anthony's continues to be my go-to place for buckwheat groats

Warm and welcoming choice!
I highly recommend Anthony's Organic Buckwheat Groats for for their healthful benefits, taste, texture, ease of cooking, and 15 minute cooking time! The 5 lb bag is economical and lasts a long time! Once cooked, I enjoy adding any of these toppings, flavor combinations, for a tasty and healthy variety; almond butter, cinnamon, vanilla, strawberries, fruit spread, sliced banana, walnuts and yogurt. Enjoy!

Not the "original" taste, but OK.
If you have Eastern European background and expect this to taste like what your Mom/Grandma used to make, that's not it. It's light in color, and texture after cooking will be off, too mushy, and flavor is not as defined and nutty as the proper "grechka". Whoever is telling you it is, is lying to you. I placed some of this buckwheat in a small pot and added boiling water in proportions 1 to 3, and let it sit. Boiled after about 2-3 hours on low heat until all the water was absorbed, added salt and butter. I think it may need a bit of roasting upfront, will try it next. Overall, I will not buy it again because it's not what I'm used to, but it is healthy, apparently, otherwise clean and easy to cook.
