Great for the oversized carry and holds my sony field 3 perfect for longer rides.

Works well for soft cargo bag
This is the only decent option I've found at any price to hold a soft cargo bag for my chain lock. The others I've tried are too narrow, allowing soft bags to flop back and forth too much. This is only about 1/8-1/4" beyond the outside of my single chain ring, so unless your calves are a foot wide or you ride with your feet really splayed, it seems unlikely to be a problem. The depth and size of the base allow bags to be better secured. It doesn't entirely eliminate flopping, but it comes close. In my perfect world, the sides would wrap slightly around a rectangular bag both to keep it from flopping and to make it secure enough to use only removable straps. (I'm having use use zip ties to keep everything tight and stable.) Then, I could quickly get it on and off for transitioning between commuter and gravel bike. But for reasons I can't fathom, I seem to be the only guy who needs to easily haul a big chain lock.It is especially odd that likely in response to a review here, they put giant washers in the kit that if used, disallow the original intent of the. As if there is some great force that will knock your cage upward, and as if it would somehow be a disaster if that happened. I'd have preferred washers that fit the original design. As I think about my comment above, I might see if there is room to wiggle an Allen key behind my soft bag without taking it off, as this could solve all of my problems. It could be prettier. It wouldn't take much work to make the contours a bit more attractive and the coating smoother and cleaner. The logos on the straps don't do it aesthetic favors.I don't know what the bottom is designed to fit, but it could be more useful. Instead of the big unexplained hole surrounded by two tiny screw holes, maybe just some slots?Overall, I'm extremely glad they are making this. I hope it is successful and inspires upgrades or similar products.

durable
Excellent way to add storage to bike forks. Quite well constructed of aluminum plate, feels solid. It comes with straps and bolts. Very secure way to carry large cargo at the fork. Recommended.

Not the greatest, but the held
Pros: lightweight cons: these came with 2 dry bags. The bags were heavy duty but the straps were hard to get tightAlso, since I was riding 300 dirt miles on a mountain bike, I'd have to rebend the bottom support because it would sag under the dry bag weight. The dry bags only carried freeze dried meals so it wasn't a huge demand.

Swing and a miss
Large cage. Check. Solid thick metal. Check. Nice straps for cargo. Check. So what's wrong? The mounting holes. There is literally zero reason the shape should be anything other than a regular hole. These mounting holes are the kind you'd see on a picture frame or similar wall hanging. Large opening joined with a small opening on top....this translates to, no matter how tight the bolts, a jolt could dislodge this cage. 10/10 Terrible design. I could drill my own holes to remedy the situation and I may do that. Thats not the point. The point is that with this single design choice the product is actually useless out of the box.

Solid cages!
I got to put this fork cage to the test during a gravel ride around Joshua Tree. Overall it fit my forks perfectly and secured tight holding my 32 oz Naugene bottle with ease. The roads we were riding were rough with plenty of washboards and the bottle never got loose! The aluminum plate that connects to the fork is strong while the nylon straps are also very strong and secure. This cage could also hold a dry bag of supplies which I’ll plan to do in my next bike packing adventure. These cages are high quality and I would recommend to anyone looking for a fork cage!

Kind of small.
These seem pretty well constructed, but are smaller than expected. I might return them.

Good way to add spare water
I have a water bottle holder in the frame of my bicycle as most people do. But I go on 10 mile rides in the hot sun and need extra water so I ordered this to add to my water supply.I like this as it was easy to mount. took me about 15 minutes and I'm not the fastest at this sort of thing. I was happy that with the straps I was able to mount a two liter bottle which tripled my capacity. This seems very sturdy and will likely last years. The straps with daily use might last two years. That remains to be seen.I don't think I can recommend this for racing bicycles as it will throw your balance off unless you put them on each side of the fork and drink evenly from the two bottles but for commuting like I do this works fine and I recommend it for that purpose.
