Perfect budget Sound upgrade
I got this to improve the sound of my Mother's new Samsung TV. I had previously got Mother a Samsung 2.0 sound bar but this turned out to be complicated, unreliable and difficult to control. I couldn't be more happy with quality and sound of this sound bar. Don't expect full surround but for the money, £74, this is amazing value and is perfect for Mother. Set up is instant, sound is perfect for Mother's needs and can be controlled with all her remote controls. What WiFi have said good things about Hisense's budget sound bars and now I know why

Home cinema upgrade
After spending a lot of time researching and looking at reviews I finally settled on the HiSense HS3100 and really pleased I did! Thought I'd test it out with my living room projector to watch Stranger Things and it's so good! Really easy to set up right out of the box and seems to be good build quality. I'm no audiophile but it sounds great in my opinion. Really punchy bass too which something I was after. The remote control has buttons for tweaking the bass and treble. The surround function makes the sound seem wider, sort of a fake surround feel which I really like. Overall really pleased - for the price this seems really good value.

Reasonable Value For Money
For the reasonable cost this soundbar works OK with our Sky Glass Air TV and gives a noticeable improvement in sound quality over the built in TV speakers but does lack the finesse and sound quality of more expensive items. Very much a case of getting what you pay for. Good points - Easy to set up and looks attractive. 3 preset sound modes cover most requirements. Poor points - Bass levels quite low and adjustment not shown on screen so no idea what level set at, Flashing led lights coming on for no apparent reason.

Fabulous Soundbar
Hisense is my 'go to' make, admittedly I'm a bit of an Hisense fan boy, (I have no connection to the company other than being a satisfied customer) everything I've had from Hisense has been brilliant TV's, soundbars, washing machine all absolutely awesome. This soundbar doesn't disappoint, just can't fault it, simplicity itself to install, the sound is incredible, regardless of source (4k Firestick, Bluray DVD, 4k Hisense TV, in my case) playing music from my Android phone (Killer by Seal is my go to test track for audio) is nothing short of astonishing. The remote feels 'quality' just the right size, and works very effectively, one criticism, the labelling ( volume, bass, treble etc.) is of a fairly dark grey colour on a black background, it's not at all easy to see in low light conditions, should have been white for better contrast IMHO. Just to clarify the subwoofer and rear speakers connect wirelessly, but bear in mind they need a 230v power supply locally to them, Highly recommended

Fantastic upgrade for very little cost! Highly recommended.
Excellent purchase! We've got a wall mounted 55" Samsung TV and this is now hanging below it on a bracket and has lifted the sound profile immensely. Voices are clearer, music is richer and gaming is more immersive. The level of bass is perfect for the size and cost. It obviously won't go toe to toe with a dedicated subwoofer and high end audio system, but it packs a hell of a punch compared to the built in TV speakers. For £58 I'm very impressed. The design looks excellent too. Very compact and sleek!

Hisense AX5140Q
This soundbar package features three main speakers in the actual soundbar (Left, Center and Right) as well four upfiring speakers. There is a wireless subwoofer and two wireless surround speakers which require a power socket each and are connected via Bluetooth. When set up and switched on the speakers all connect automatically. There are various sound modes such as voice, music, game, movie, night mode and sport. Each speakers volume can be altered via the remote and there is an option to raise or lower the bass and treble. One of the main reasons I decided to purchase this particular soundbar was that has two hdmi sockets. I connected my 4k blu ray player in the hdmi in and the hdmi out was connected to my TV (which sadly doesn't have EARC only ARC) so I can happily enjoy lossless audio from my blu ray disc collection. Titles tested - Movie: 'Blade Runner' (4k UHD/Dolby Atmos) clear voices, some very subtle but effective sounds throughout and the music sounds outstanding. Flying cars Wiz over and behind you in the opening - Brilliant! Music: Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' (Dolby Atmos) sounded amazing, subtle keyboard and effects in the rear speakers, all instruments and vocals sound crisp and clear. Had the 360 spatial audio effect. Game: Ghost of Tsushima (PS5, Set to Dolby Atmos on console, lossy audio sent through hdmi ARC on TV) This is not really Dolby Atmos but Sony's own 3D audio technology, but boy does this sound good! Thunderstorm's can be heard overhead, voices all-around, sounds like wind blowing and birds chirping and arrows flying feel like they are over and behind you. Very immersive. T.V: Twin Peaks (7.1 DTS-HD MA) I tested this mainly because it can be very subtle with sound and music (it is David Lynch after all) Music sounded very good as do the sound effects however the voices were quite low and I had to turn up the center speaker. The surround sound really does add atmosphere to this cult TV show. I am pleased to say I'm very happy with this purchase and would easily recommend it to anyone on a bit of a budget, has a small living room and wants to enjoy quality surround sound.

Almost amazing, but so many small problems
I’ve seen so many different opinions on this soundbar, so I thought I’d throw mine in too. First off, I got it from Amazon Warehouse Like New for £117. A good price considering it supposedly retailed at £280. The build quality was surprisingly good and solid. Incredibly easy to setup. It was to replace my existing 2.1 Samsung Soundbar. I’ve got an Optoma HD141x projector with a Sky q mini box, Apple TV and PS5 connected to it. Projecting onto an 100” screen. The first impression was good. I had a play with the various settings to try and find something I liked, but couldn’t quite find what I wanted. I used an optical connection as my projector doesn’t have an ARC unfortunately. The more I messed with the settings, the more small niggles I started to find. I watched some live football. All the settings made the commentary sound almost robotic and tinny. I became aware of a humming sound coming from the rear right speaker too which I found distracting. I went on YouTube to find a 5.1 Surround setup video. The optical connection supports Dolby digital. All the various channels bleed into other speakers and the hum was worse than the live tv. They sound channels definitely weren’t split as I’d found using my soundbar in the living room. It was the same video I’d used previously. Realising I could use the optical cable with the Apple TV as it didn’t have a connection for it, I bought an ARC Extractor from Amazon. That arrived the next day and the sound via that didn’t fare any better. Scrolling around the menu, it made some awful strange sounds and when playing a video from my Plex server, the hum in the rear right reappeared. It’s all boxed up and ready to be returned tomorrow. It’s a shame as it has massive potential, but ultimately too many small problems to keep it even at the price I got it for. If you have an eARC connection, you might get on with it a little better with more options, but for me it’s just not quite there.

Excellent soundbar for the price. Shame the labels cannot be removed cleanly
This is an excellent soundbar for the price. Easily installed with hdmi arc but can also connect via Bluetooth or optical cable. Good sound quality and bass and fits under my samsung TV perfectly. Surround sound is effective and immersive. Has several eq sound modes Movie, music, news etc using different sound profiles and these are all effective No lip sync issues that I can see. Suggesting it is 240w in power is disingenuous as I think it means air watts ( a relatively meaningless term) rather than the actual electrical power which is 50w output. It is powerful enough though and I found I didn't need to have it set high to have a good listening experience. On my samsung TV it shows as an hdmi device with a + or a - for the sound level and you can't adjust eq or surround sound except by using the remote control. I suspect on a hisense TV you would get a much more integrated experience and be able to see the volume level as a number as well as adjust some settings of the soundbar via the TV itself One glaring aesthetic problem presented itself however. Some hisense designer with no actual common sense decided that putting labels on the top face ( the top and front face being the ones you actually look at) to tell you it's specs and what it could do was a good thing but then neglected to make those labels easy to remove. Instead when peeled off, they leave a thick sticky layer of glue behind which took me over 30 minutes to remove and needed fairly serious solvents to do so i.e isopropyl alcohol and WD40 when that didn't work well. Luckily I was able to get rid of the glue using these products but feel I shouldn't have had to and so easily could have been left with a damaged surface. Interestingly all the pictures of it on Amazon show it without any such labels. I would still recommend it though
