Lonely Planets are best travel guide. Succinct, simple, informative.

We had a wonderful time enjoying the beauty of the Rocky Mountains of Canada. This guide book was great in helping us plan our trip!

Very nice travel book with lots of information and photos. The size is nice, too, being only about 5" x 7.75". I like that this book concentrates on the exact areas we want to visit and Lonely Planet guides are always good.

This is the book to have for the first time traveler.

Very helpful as I traveled to these three national parks. I still like a physical book to read about the area and history.

This book is colorful and gives a broad overview of Banff, Jasper and Glacier. However, if you are looking for more specific places to stay, eat or hike this is not the book. The book gives very brief recommendations but not a lot of details. For example, if you are are deciding if a hike is appropriate for your family or how long it will take, this book will not help. I was really hoping it would be a more thorough hands on guide but really only offered a few pages of some really good information.

Very impressed with this guide book full of pictures and helpful information. I didn't realize lonely planet updated their format a couple years ago adding a lot more photos and making it much more enjoyable and useful to read. I will look for more of their travel books in the future.

3 pages. if you are one of those who believes that holidays will feed the soul better if they are organised in time, there are 3 pages in the whole book that provide a time related plan. e.g. One page on if you have 7 days what to do and where to do. That was the main value of the book for me. And of course it explains why you go where you go and divides the themes based your interests. As a first time visit, enough to be of value to me.. Enjoy.
