I bought the Fishwife Holiday Gift Tin as a gift for myself. I like canned fish, and recently I have been consuming it nearly every day. Usually sardines, mackerel, or salmon. I thought this gift pack looked like a fun option for me to try out a variety of their offerings. Presentation is gorgeous. Love the large reusable, durable tin all these boxes are packed into. The packaging is colorful and cheery. While not necessary to my enjoyment, I appreciate good looking packaging. More importantly is the product itself. I haven't tried everything yet, but so far what I have tried has been exceptional. If I open something and it is not up to par, I will definitely update. The smoked salmon with sichuan chili crisp is very tasty with a mouth pleasing texture. I immediately fell in love. The smokiness comes through as does a good balance of sweet and heat. I could eat a lot more of this. The tin was a tease. Piece of fish were firm yet tender. I ate them direct from can. The anchovies--OMFG yum. Delightfully salty and umami. Not enough of them though. I like that they held shape, no mush, no falling apart. These are really good. I want more, but frankly could not afford them for regular consumption. Occasional treat going forward. I also ate a portion directly from can. I wanted to taste without any distractions. The Sardines preserved with Lemon in Olive Oil is fresh and tasty. Similar to "Season" brand, nothing extra special, but at least they are of high quality as anticipated. No mush. Nice fresh lemony taste. I like the little slice of lemon on top. I normally dont add lemon to my sardines, but I am now a convert. Great, since I consume 2-3 cans of sardines at a time (perfect protein and fat ratio for super low carb Carnivore/Ketovore lifestyle) I am yet to try the Trout and Mussels options. Ive never had mussels. Tuna is very good. It is of a quality level that I would use in recipes. I do not rate on price, however I comment. As said by many, this is a very pricey, premium priced brand of tinned fish. Fun flavor options, good tasting fish, good texture. I think I would splurge on the fun flavors and stick to my Season brand for sardines. I love what I have consumed so far, and if the quality is consistent, I will consider ordering again as a special treat for myself, or maybe for someone else if I knew for sure they love tinned fish. However, I have looked at listings for individual options, and frankly many of those reviews concern me. For example, the Anchovies product page has a lot of pictures of slime water, which is very different than what it should be and what I got. So I am a little leery of ordering more at $10 a can. But so far THIS gift pack has been amazing. Hence my 5 stars.

such a great product. Flavor, quality and packaging are all wonderful. Pricey, so I like to save them for special occasions but will absolutely purchase again. Makes dinner so easy - just throw a can in with some pasta and a vegetable and you're done! The tin is cute and sturdy so it can be reused/repurposed. The smoked trout is my favorite so far.

Great flavor, textures, and overall top notch quality! A little pricey, but well worth it. I haven't tried all of them yet (I got the gift set) and the smoked mackerel has me wanting more. The mackerel has a light but well balanced smokey flavor, which compliments the natural mackerel flavor; the texture had a nice mouthfeel - not overprocessed, with a perfect bite. I would love to see a smoked or salt-brine herring (not pickled!) - I'd be buying up all your stock!

I bought this variety pack as well as the fishwife cookbook as a gift. Quality is top-notch, much better than typical grocery store tinned fish. Interesting flavors. Fishwife products are delicious and will be a splurge in the future

Adventurous flavors. The mackerel in particular was very good. Pricey. No large bones. Great texture.

Purchased this as a gift and my son loved it! He loves Fishwife tinned fish and the variety of fish and flavors. It was packaged in a very cute tin.

The Mackerel was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. This fish made by opinion of canned fish flip on its head. The rainbow trout was close. Sumptuous, savory, but not too salty and the fish itself was delicious. Highly recommend from me, normal guy who just figured out I love Marcel.

Big gift tin. Wish it came with the fish knife for the price but great gift otherwise. Loved getting to try a variety of fish and flavors. Just know that this is not like any canned fish you ever had. Definitely would love to have again and considering ordering some individually. Will have to wait for a sale to make it really worth it. Ordered directly from fishwife at first but got better faster service from Amazon so I cancelled and switched.
