Stable, durable, holds a lot of beans
When I first unpacked these and looked up the expected capacity in pounds of beans, my first thought was that there was no way that amount was going to fit. However, I found the advertised amount to be correct; I used pinto beans, which are quite bulky, and it fit 15 pounds, just a pound less than the 16 pound estimate. I'm confident that with a smaller bean, 16 would indeed have fit. The mini is a great size for microphone stands, providing excellent stability. The product seems to be very well made and constructed of durable materials.

Keeps Umbrellas From Falling Over
Great quality - material is very heavy/durable. The velcro used in the closure is very thick and secures the sand inside completely. Was a bit difficult filling with sand and took patience, but it was worth it. The umbrellas have since withstood winds that previously caused them to fall over. Would purchase again if needed.

Perfect weight for the front wheel of my airplane!
I use this to keep my airplane from tipping back on its tail in heavy wind storms when it’s tied down on the ramp! Hangars are so low In available I keep my airplane on the airport ramp and have had 2 calls about my airplane on its tail. Not again! This nice weight does the trick of keeping the nose down and self writing it because I’ve had no calls since!

Perfectly met my needs!!!
I rely on a wheelchair and in a studio setting I wanted to have my mic stand behind me with a mini boom and a long gooseneck reaching over my shoulder so I could eliminate having the mic cable in front of me. I used the Gravipod Mini to stabilize my mic stand and it works perfectly! I didn't want to mess with sand so I used three 4 lb. bags of bulk pinto beans to fill my Gravipod Mini and 12 lbs. was the perfect amount. The Gravipod Mini is real heavy duty, has two handles for easy handling, and uses really strong Velcro closures that seal tight providing no worries of spilling the beans. My fellow musicians took notice at how well it works and how well its made and are now considering purchasing their own. I highly recommend this product!

Keeps my patio umbrella secure
The stand for my patio umbrella (unsupported by a table) wasn't quite heavy enough, but didn't need the full size model, so this one is perfect. So far with the 20 lb base, plus the 25 lb Gravipod the opened umbrella has withstood 12 mph winds, however it is in a somewhat protected location.. Over 12 mph I would probably collapse the umbrella. Will test in higher winds just to see how it goes. I was able to fill the Gravipod without assistance, but I did use a small funnel as recommended by other reviewers. Once full, I inserted an empty plastic bread bag under the opening to help ensure sand did not leak out.

Great for small umbrellas!
They work great for all small umbrella stands! Wish it would hold more for weight but it does the job.
