I’m a believer. After a few years of heavy lifting, my hands were getting some gnarly calluses. Regular files were not cutting it as almost all are flat - all but useless. The SandBar is such an elegant solution. Curved to shape the hand perfectly. It allows you to hit the calluses in your fingers as well. The aggressive grit is just perfect. It comes with a cleaner for the tool and it has a great storage tube as well. It was recommended that I follow it up with a hand moisturizer with a high percentage of urea (I picked some up with 40% concentration) and my hands are actually soft again with no scratchy spots from calluses. I still have the callus to protect the hand, but I can run my hand down my wife’s leg without her jumping back like I nicked her with a hangnail. I never thought I could say I have smooth, soft hands! Protected for lifting still, but in much better shape overall.

Just started at a Ninja obstacle gym a few weeks ago and was getting some pretty gnarly calluses that I ignored. Of course they eventually ripped and had to take a few days off. I was looking into buying a pummis stone but ran into this and figured I'd gamble on the high price. I just used it for the first time and wow! Even though my tears weren't 100% healed it didn't hurt at all to use and the excess skin and remaining callus are gone and smooth! The slave smells great and seems to really help soothe and protect the area. I plan on making this a daily routine. Only negative is that is seems to leave small black sand particles onu hands, which makes me worry about the longevity of this product, but time will tell.

My husband is a quadriplegic but has partial use of his upper extremities. This has resulted in callouses all over his hands and fingers that would drive him crazy. He’s got some contractures too, which makes straightening his fingers difficult. This was amazing for him! I had to hold his hand around it with enough pressure to provide friction but it worked like a charm! It only took maybe 30-45 seconds per hand. He wouldn’t be able to use this on his own but it’s very easy with a little bit of help! We’re very happy with this and would recommend it to anybody, especially those with special needs.

Lifesaver for my husband because I hate how rough his clauses feel but he also needs them because he’s a heavy weight lifter. Great compromise! He keeps his calluses and they don’t feel awful.
