Great product but poorly designed nozzle
Hair type: Short (above-the-ear), fine Scalp type: Oily, sensitive I’m a fan of the Alpecin range of caffeine shampoo so I was excited to try this out. This is a big bottle of hair tonic – almost the same size as that of their shampoo. The scent is fresh. A little like aftershave. It is rather strong so it takes a while to dissipate after application. There is menthol in this and it is on the stronger side as well. You can feel it on your scalp immediately upon application and it does cause a warming sensation. Despite having a sensitive scalp, this was okay for me but I can imagine those with a more sensitive scalp may find it uncomfortable. Post-application, there was no stickiness or a feeling of residue on the scalp, so that was nice. The biggest downside of this product is the design of the nozzle. Do not make the same mistake as me and just tip the bottle to your scalp. The tonic will pour – yes, I mean pour – out of the rather wide-mouthed nozzle and drip over your face. I highly suggest you pour a little onto your fingertips and rub them into your scalp instead. That or use one of those hair oil applicators.

This Alpecin Caffeine Hair Booster is Liquid Gold!
I gotta put you on to this wild hair product that's been an absolute gamechanger for my thinning mane. I used to be straight up shedding like a mangy mutt, with my once luscious locks slowly disappearing down the drain day by day. Harsh shampoos and ineffective growth serums were only making the situation worse too. That's when this inky black caffeine elixir slid into the picture! As soon as I started working a few pumps through my scalp post-shower, I could feel those little miracle molecules getting to work. We're talking a tingly, energizing sensation hitting those tired follicles with a revitalizing jolt of life. It's like an espresso shot for your strands! But here's where it gets even wilder - the Alpecin formula utilizes insane German engineering to block DHT, the hormone villain that causes premature balding and shedding. Who knew caffeine was such a potent defense against hair loss? After just a couple weeks of consistent use, my hair was visibly thicker, fuller, and looked way healthier overall. No more combover comb-overs or weird bald spots peeking through either. We're talkin' a luscious mane that would make Superman jealous. If you've been losing the battle against thinning locks, do yourself a solid and get your hands on Alpecin Black ASAP. This caffeinated booster is like a defibrillator for deflated hair follicles!

My dad has been using it for a few days now and he says he thinks it's helping.
I got this for my dad as a gift. He has been losing his hair for a while now and was getting pretty self-conscious about it. I did some research and found out that Alpecin Black Edition Caffeine Hair Booster is supposed to be really good for hair loss. It contains caffeine, which is said to help stimulate hair growth. I also read some reviews that said it worked well for people who were losing their hair. He says his hair feels thicker and he's not shedding as much. I'm happy that he's happy with it and I think it's a great product. One thing to note is that it does have a strong smell. Some people might not like it, but my dad didn't seem to mind it. It's natural, it's affordable, and it seems to work.
