I really Like These, You Will, too
I use these on the back side of my table saw table. They permit me to easily raise an extension to "catch" my material as I push it through the saw & then easily fold the extension back down when I am done. They hold my extension straight & level. I have not really tested them for weight, but they are more than sufficient for my needs.

Don't Sit on Them
I bought two of these to make a footrest that popped up on a chair I made. These were not as strong as I had hoped. First I had to bend one of the channels a bit to keep the sliding parts from catching on it. That worked fine until I accidentally sat on the footrest. This pulled the screws part way out of the chair, and bent both the brackets to the point of unusability. Had to throw them out and come up with another plan.

Fold down shelf
I made a shelf for just below my picture window. These worked great.

Locking hinges
I made a kind of long countertop and these hinges can support it with no problem. Honestly they are stronger than I expected. The little “button” to unlock them is small and kindof hard to press but you get used to it quickly. If you don’t intend to change positions frequently then it’s really no problem. The 4* was because they were difficult to install due to the locking bar being in the way of the screw holes. With two people it should be easier, but my 2 hour task could’ve been 30 minutes with a slight design change. But overall good, and there is NO problems now that it’s in use

Cheaply made
These brackets are very flimsy. I do not think they will hold up for the application I purchased them for. If you buy them, you may want to double them up.
