Our nearly 3 year old Granddaughter has a blast on this. The remote makes a huge difference as she learns to negotiate everything. Not operating on her own yet. Her Dad is building a house and has his own equipment so she thinks this is pretty cool. Speed is good, quality is good and it is really cute little vehicle.

Wonderful gift for the young boy in your life! My 3 year old absolutely loved this for his birthday. It arrived well packaged and no damage to the box or the parts. It took my husband approximately 45 minutes to put it together. I could not put it together myself as it was pretty heavy and couldn’t even lift some parts out of the box. Battery charging is straight forward. It is pretty large in size which is to be expected. The battery power does last a good amount of time and it seems very durable so far (see video of my 3 year old running into a tree stump lol). My 3 year old has trouble picking things up with the buckets and needs our help, but I’m sure he will get better at it as he grows. This is a wonderful item and I look forward to getting lots of use out of it. Highly recommend!

This is a really nice excavator ride on toy my grandson loves it. It’s made nice and looks nice to. We just got it so I can’t comment on battery life or anything else so I’ll be back later to finish comment

It's one of the cheapest models on the market, so I tempered my expectations. So I was glad to be pleasantly surprised by the quality. My only complaints are that the battery life is fairly short, and the motor makes about the same amount of torque as an anemic toddler trying to open a pickle jar. It gets stuck often and easily while driving on dirt or sand. The on/off switch and forward/reverse switch are almost identical, and right next to each other, so my son (5yo) often mixes them up and turns it off. Making them different colors would solve that problem. But once it's assembled, fully charged, turned on, and in the dirt, it's the best toy a little boy could ask for.
