Saniflo Sanivite+ Sanivite Plus 6004 Kitchen Utility Grey Water Domestic Macerator Pump

Very nice piece of equipment. East to fit, quiet in use and very efficient. We built a kitchen on the back of our house, and didn’t want to dig up all round the house to get to a drain. We opted for the Sanivite because we had read some reviews (mainly Australian) on how to fit and use it. It is a small unit that sits on the floor. The sink and dishwasher water flows into the bottom of the unit via a 40mm waste. The output passes through a 32mm output. This has to be a solvent weld because of the output pressure. Ours goes straight up, into the loft space, across the loft and then out through the house wall into the main drain. It was a lot of work to fit, but less upset than having full new drains installed. I would definitely use it again on another kitchen. This is a unit designed specifically for a kitchen water output - not to be confused with the Saniflo unit which fits behind a toilet!

After 20 years service I had to replace the Saniflo’s pump, so the pipe work existed, but be prepared for back wash of liquid in the pipes! Not much to say it just works.

Bought to replace another Saniflo after 12 years of loyal service. Seems to be working like a dream.

Used to pump digital shower waste up 10’ vertical and across loft to stack. Replacement item - last one lasted 10-12 years. Easy to install Quiet and efficient. Bit expensive for what's inside the casing.

Fitted as it should no problems

This replaced it’s predecessor which lasted about 4 years. It was quite blocked with sludge and was a lesson to run the cleaning fluid through it regularly. It eventually failed when a chickpea got stuck under the switch membrane making it run continuously and run dry. Replaced with the same model and hope it lasts a bit longer this time…

We are using this device to lift washing machine outlet grey water from the basement to waste pipework on the ground floor. It was easy to set up, runs really quietly and effectively. Had to be hard wired into a fused socket but as this was a replacement for a previous model the socket was already near the device. We are using Calgon in the washing machine to reduce limescale and soap scum build up in the washing machine and pump. Although they are quite expensive the quality and effectiveness are really good.
