July 2025 (update): I received a message from the sender 3 days after my original review. They were apologetic and let me know my satisfaction was important to them and that they would work to resolve the issue. They sent me a new package of newly designed salt packets that could be torn open without the need for scissors. I attached a picture of the before and after packets. I'm very impressed with the way they quickly addressed my concern. They owned the fact that the original packaging design was not good and resolved the defect with a newly designed packet. I updated my rating from 3 stars to 5. I'm very pleased to see this kind of customer service. June 2025 (original review): I gave this item 3 stars because you have to use scissors to open the salt packet. The salt works fine, it's just the packaging. This makes it hard to use these when I travel. I don't usually carry scissors around with me. I could buy a small pair just for this, but it's annoying that I would even need to do that.

I use a neti pot and these are perfect for sinus rinses. You get a good amount of packets and they are portable for travel. Appreciate the easy tear tops.

These work as expected. They don't tear open easily like the more expensive ones. I have scissors in the bathroom, it's no big deal to cut them. Worth it for the price.

Love having the convenience of pre measured individual dose packets. Simply pinch off a small corner of the plastic sleeve packet, then add the salt into the irrigation bottle, then measure out and add the sterile/warmed water into the bottle, gently shake the bottle until the salt has fully dissolved. This makes a very soothing warm saline rinse to comfort the nose. This is a must have as a stable to care for health.

So I have been using a Neilmed nasal bottle for literally over ten years and they are fabulous! I also would order their saline packages sort of on automatic pilot since I was so happy with the system. As everything else prices have increased and when I was getting ready to order more I did an Amazon search and found this product for 30% less and gambled given the price difference. Very good decision! I even like them better even if they don't have baking soda as a buffer! There were some reviews with complaints about hard to open but the reviewers tried to open them with their hands instead of just cutting the end off with scissors. This actually makes them even better than the before mentioned square packages since they are easier to get into the rinse bottle without having to blow up the square package and still spilling salt all over the place! If you are a regular user these are the cats meow, believe me......!!!!

I bought the green rather than the white because it has sodium bicarbonate and matches the ingredients closer NeilMed, which I’m used to. It comes in a vacuum-sealed bag. Pouches are easy enough to tear open. Just be careful to go straight across or slightly down. I tore one pouch and it was still sealed. They are made of metallized PET plastic, so they’re not recyclable. As for feel, I don’t notice a difference between this and the NeilMed pouches. I use the SinusRinse bottle with one pouch and distilled water. There is no burning or discomfort. There is no noticeable difference in time it takes to dissolve, and I believe it completely dissolves in the water. The price is what really stands out and makes this a great value. I will update if I try a hypertonic solution. I hope you have found this review helpful!

One side is easier to open than the other. Took me way to long to realise that... They are super handy, and it doesn't sting so its the right mix of stuff.
