UPDATE: The seller reached out and refunded me the cost of the Chicken Soup flavor I purchased, which I thought was great customer service so I'm updating from 3 stars to 5 stars. I bought the Cappuccino flavor and I must say it did not have the gritty, horrible chalky texture that totally turns me off protein shakes. The flavor is not bad either. It does a a good hint of vanilla and cappuccino. I mixed it with 8 oz cold water and 4 ice cubes in the blender. This is going to make my 4 weeks of liquid diet a little less agonizing. However; I just made the Chicken Soup flavor and it is gritty and full of powdery chunks, even blending several times. I'm goin to try mixing the two scoops with a little cold water next time and then adding the hot water. If I can't get these lumps out, I will have to toss it....I just can't deal with it.

Love this chicken soup meal replacement, the first time I made it. I did use boiling hot water, but did find that it was pretty gritty and lots of chunks, and that was kind of an appetizing to chew on chunks of chicken soup. Meal replacement was not the best, but I loved the flavor of the broth was very tasty and appetizing and filling.** IF you want to be able to enjoy the chicken soup try this method , it’s a little bit of a pain in the rear end, but I think it Worked out perfectly , The second time I made it I used extremely hot boiling water, I added just a little of the hot water to the two scoops of meal replacement and made a little paste. I then took the paste and put it in a mini chopper and added just a little bit more hot water and mixed it in the chopper for a couple of seconds . Finally I’m able to enjoy the chicken soup without all the chunks and grit. There was very very little grit left at the bottom of my cup. I think I finally found the solution to being able to enjoy this.. you’ll definitely want to try this if you want to be able to enjoy the chicken soup. ** I also added a half of teaspoon of salt to my big cup of chicken broth just to add a little flavor that’s too you’re liking.

Absolutely disgusting - took a sip and thought hmmm maybe I can do this, took another and had a physical gag reflex. Tossed the whole bottle because once it’s opened there are no returns or refunds, so beware. Taste was nauseating and like a milky (not creamy) melted stick of butter that had gone bad and gotten that cardboard flavor. Texture was also weird; and I know how to properly mix proteins with hot liquids so it’s not that.

I bought this in the hopes of increasing my protein intake. I’m not doing baristas surgery or anything. I also bought because several other people posted that it tasted really good and it was the best one they had tried. However, I find this completely unpalatable. I followed the instructions, you have to mix it in water below 140 degrees or it clumps. It just has that mucous flavor of protein. Maybe if you try mixing it with other things in an actual soup it would be edible. Unfortunately, I had to throw this away completely due to the taste. Remember, this is not something you can return. For me, that was $50 wasted. Edit: the company reached out to me to refund this product. I increased stars from one to three due to this good customer support.
