My dog LOVES these, and it’s the only way we can get him to take his medication. We’ve tried yogurt, peanut butter, cheese, all of it - and nothing works like these do. The only critique I have of this particular flavour (hickory smoke) is that they seem to fall apart if you really pack them with pills. We’ve tried the chicken flavour and those are much sturdier and don’t crumble easily.

My dog doesn't seem to be a big fan of the beef flavor. Plus , I find that this particular flavor pill pocket seems to be more brittle and does not seem to hold together as well as the chicken pill pocket.

These are the best!! I have a dog who takes approximately 20 pills a day and is the best at finding them in his food and spitting them out. I’ve tried disguising the pills with cheese, hot dogs, peanut butter, you name it, I’ve tried it. Nothing worked. Now I put the pills in the pill pockets and he gobbles them right down - he will eat then right out of my hand or in his food. I have tried all the flavors and my dogs have a clear preference for the hickory smoked flavor. This flavor has a stronger odor than the chicken or the PB, and I think that’s why my dogs gobble these up. This flavor is also softer and more pliable than the other flavors, so it’s easier to wrap the pills in them. I find that the capsule size is much better than the pill size for a dog who takes multiple pills, because you can stuff more pills into each pocket. I put two large, 3 medium, or 4 small pills into each pocket. If you dog only needs one pill, you can use only 1/2 pocket. These are worth every penny I spend on them - without them I’d be having a constant challenge trying to get all his medication in him.

I have a German shepherd Rottweiler mix and he's pretty good with finding his meds in foods I've tried giving him. He's picked apart sandwiches I've made to find the pills but this is a life saver. Like an edible playdough so he can't pick it apart and he eats it very quickly. Great for daily use since he has to take allergy meds. Highly recommend to dog owners who need to give their pups meds.
