Zeolite Granular 3 Quarts 6 Pounds for Garden Plant Soil Amendment Composting Aquarium Filter Media

Bought to mix with pumice and leca for semi hydro plants. It’s a bit smaller than I initially wanted but turned out to be perfect. The leca is the largest (between 1/4”-3/4”), then pumice at 1/8-1/4”, lastly this which is about 1/8” and fills in some of the larger gaps. I’ve definitely seen a positive difference in root health since using this. The water in the cache pot lasts longer too. Was having trouble with leca alone so started adding pumice which helped a lot. There were still some Plamts that weren’t happy no matter what until I added this. The roots don’t dry out too fast like they did with leca alone. Zeolite is great as a soil amendment and for composting worm health/breeding so figured it couldn’t do any harm for indoor plants grown in semi hydro. I’ve used the powder in soil with great results as well. Overall very pleased with it. It’s a bit pricy but it goes a very long way. I think it’s worth it for those extra special plants.

Zeolite is amazing. I sprinkle a couple of tablespoons in the cat's litter box, no idor ever! Currently I have a musty book sealed in a bag with zeolite and the smell is disappearing. One if the best things I ever did for myself.

I’m mainly leaving this review to show the size of the stones as I have not actually used it for the plants yet but it seems like this is exactly what I was looking for. I had previously ordered this brands zeolite “granule” size by accident because I had a hard time figuring out the size of each option from their ad’s photos alone, and no customer reviews that showed any photos with a size reference either yet. These are just what I was looking for though, seems like roughly 1/8”-1/4” or 3-6mm on most of the pieces (compared to a bag of lava rocks I just got that are supposed to be 1/8” but had a few other bigger pieces also in there.) Overall I’m happy with my purchase. They definitely need to be pre rinsed / soaked before use as they do come very dusty in the bags. But you get a huge amount for the same price that other Amazon brands are charging 2-3x as much for the same quantities. This brand will have me as a continued customer if the prices stay where they’re at and it stays in stock and ends up working well in all my plants. Thanks.

This is so thin, almost like powder. Was trying to mix with lava rock to make Pon. It all immediately fell to the bottom. Would be fine if using it by itself, but not in a mix.

I’ve used Zeolite for years to avoid the “ aquarium odor”. Zeolite works great. When I ordered this I didn’t notice that it was granular. I don’t think that makes the product any less in quality compared to the small rock Zeolite. You need to be sure the mesh on your bag are small so that the granular Zeolite doesn’t come through the mesh!

I thought they would remove odors, but I do not find a difference.
