ELM327 v2.2 ODBII-scanner
ELMScan Adapter Validator app identifies it like real ELM327 v2.2 ODBII-scanner. Not a cheap Chinese one. Great tool for PRO and Amateurs. Very good response time. Compatible with my Nissan. Found 13 errors.

Easy Car Diagnostics and Customizations Right from Your Phone
The Carista EVO Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner is an incredibly handy tool for both casual car owners and enthusiasts. I’ve been using it to check engine codes, monitor live data, and even customize some of my car’s settings—all straight from my phone. Setup was easy. I plugged the device into the OBD2 port, paired it with the Carista app, and I was ready to go. The app is user-friendly and offers clear explanations for error codes, which saves time and money by avoiding unnecessary trips to the mechanic. One of the standout features is the customization options. I was able to tweak settings like auto-lock behavior, lighting controls, and even some driving assistance features. The live data monitoring is also impressive, giving real-time updates on engine performance and sensor readings. The only downside is that some advanced features require a paid subscription to the app, but the free version still offers plenty of useful tools for basic diagnostics and troubleshooting. And here’s a quick joke: Why did the OBD2 scanner become a therapist? Because it’s great at reading your car’s feelings! Overall, the Carista EVO Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner is a reliable and easy-to-use diagnostic tool. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to monitor their car’s health, save money on minor fixes, and customize their driving experience—all from their smartphone.

Must have just for vehicle feature menu on Toyota.
Bought this specifically for Toyota vehicle customization, it works fantastic. Incredibly annoying that I can’t change these additional features in car in settings. This is my second Toyota, this worked with my 26 Camry and 25 Corolla. I was a dealer technician and this gives you the same options for vehicle customization that is in techstream dealer software. It turns off the annoying seatbelt reminders, changes lighting features, was able to turn on opening and closing windows with the keyfob. I can’t even adjust these features with my snap on scan tool that cost considerably more.

A fail on every level
I bought this to change some settings on my 2020 Escape. Before buying, I looked into the subscription plan that says it’s needed for multiple vehicles. Not a problem, I was only using it on one. Then I used the stupid thing. Nope, need a subscription to change any setting. I paid my $9.99 for a month and tried it out. Below are my thoughts… The settings available WILL vary from what is shone online. Even then, they don’t work properly. I could get the windows down to work with fob, but never up. It also didn’t control the sunroof as it said it would. Most settings make no sense and aren’t explained. My factory DRL settings say DRL 1 brightness is 10% while DRL brightness 2 is 100%. What do you even change with that? The live data is the worst I have even seen. Most vehicle systems only give you a few values that are worthless. My favorite is parked with the engine running, the live data said it’s commanding and making 14 PSI of boost. $9.99 a month and you couldn’t compensate for atmospheric pressure? Lastly, you must maintain your subscription to be able to continue to change settings, which is absolutely ridiculous. You charge between $70-$100 for the device (one of the most expensive on the market) then require a subscription for some pathetic live data and beta test features? Lol, absolutely not. Easiest return I’ve ever done, minus the $10 I’ll never get back, unfortunately.

Worked perfectly.
I have two Toyota 4Runners and was annoyed with the constant seat belt alarm. Occasionally I deliver meals and am in and out of the car frequently and driving just a few hundred yards from one stop to the next and the seat belt chime really gets on my nerves. This tool allowed me to shut that off and also enabled me to customize the turn signal chime. It worked perfectly and I am no Tech Guru, it just worked.

Subscription based so keep that in mind....
Overall I really like this scanner. It's easy to use and intuitive. I like that it connects via bluetooth to my phone. I purchased this primarily to make some changes to my car's hidden features. I used it to program Remote Window Down via Long Press of key fob button and a few other things. I was hoping to find even more hidden gem's in the car's software but sadly they're not available on my Camry. I feel the scanner is a bit on the expensive side but I'll have the ability to read any vehicle faults before heading to the dealership. What I don't like is having to pay a subscription fee to use the Vehicle Customization programming features. I did the basic one month fee but I feel that I've paid a high price for the hardware so these features should be built into the price.

Nice Scanner
Worked great on my truck. Easy setup and many options available even without subscription. I bought the subscription (on sale) so I could make some adjustments only dealer could do. Great info on engine performance.
