Does this turn out to be green in color when made?

Yes. I've scoured the internet for years trying to find the OLD LIME KOOL-AID, but to no avail. I decided to take a chance on this, as I love lime. It is green and it does taste (mostly) like the old Lime Kool-Aid. As a kid, your perspective changes a bit, but I do think it's pretty close, even though Kool-Aid markets it as "Lemon-Lime." Hope that helps. (If the packet said only "Lime," I don't think you or I would notice!)
