The outside is hard plastic not rubber
It will do the job, but the whole reason I bought it was for the outside to be rubber, but it was plastic

Fits my connector, and I made a mistake and dropped it ... didn't break so it sturdy. Its cold out so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. But so far so good.

NOT a rubberized protector
I use a pressure washer when I wash cars. I am not a professional detailer, I just like taking care of my own vehicles. I got this nozzle because I have been reading about how a pressure washer nozzle with a soft rubberized shield and protect against accidental strikes. Despite that the description of this product repeats that is is a rubberized tip or guard, it is HARD plastic. In one area there is some flashing that would definitely scratch a car's paint if it cam into contact with it. If you want a pressure washer tip with a rubber shield that will protect your car's paint, this is not the one you are looking for.
