No more chalazion
When my eyes start feeling super gritty I start using this 4 times a day. I have had such bad chalazion in the last it looks like pencil eraser is embedded in my eye lid. After using this for at least 8 mins at a time i open my eyes and it is like I am,looking through petroleum jelly. I do a light lid massage and blink rapidly, it goes away as does the dry sensation. So grateful this is available. Far superior to a warm compress as this allows for longer contact with heat so that the clogged glands can express the hardened oils.

Can get blurry vision for several minutes after use.
It is easy to use and the instructions are correct. It does deliver what it says it does but you need to know that after wearing it for 4 to 6 minutes you will most likely have blurry vision for several minutes due to the heat's effect on the cornea, the transparent surface of the front of the eye.

Works hot or cold
I wear contact lenses and at the end of the day, my eyes are tired and dry. This mask is marketed as a warm compress mask but I like using it as a cold mask (illustrated as an option in the online ad). There are no directions for cold use but I just put it in the freezer. For a less intense experience, you could also store it in the refrigerator. The mask is comfortable on and I appreciate the strap to hold it in place. One thing to consider is that gravity will affect the pellets and they will fall to the lower portion of the mask. However, you can push them around (gently) and they will mostly stay where you put them. That feature makes this mask a step up from other heat/cold masks that do not make good contact with your eyes. I also like that you can wash this mask. I have tried grain filled "eye pillows" before and you cannot clean them, which limits how long you can use them. The ad says that it is machine washable, but the product insert says to hand wash, which seems like the best approach. For about $10, this mask provides both warm and cool therapy for tired, dry, puffy eyes. It's a two-fer! Recommend.

Simple but effective
The Goodtar Moist Heat Eye Compress is a very simple design. It has no fancy features like aromatherapy or specialty fabrics, but it does exactly what it claims to do and it does it very well. I have used this both as a hot eye compress and a chilled mask. I was impressed with how it functioned in both capacities. The enclosed stones heat very fast, faster than others I’ve tried. It says heat for 30 seconds, then an additional 15 if needed. I didn’t find that additional heating was needed. And though it didn’t feel exceptionally hot when I held the mask in my hands, it felt much hotter when applied to my eyes. The heat maintained a good temperature for about 7 minutes, the moist heat felt very soothing to my eyes. When I tested this as a chilled mask I found it to hold a cold temp a bit longer than it did the heat, it was closer to 10 minutes. The mask is simple, it’s easy to use and adjust to proper size. It’s comfortable. My only complaint is that it’s white, which I’m afraid might show staining sooner. However, unlike some masks with seeds, this mask can be hand washed to maintain cleanliness. This is not only good for appearance, but it’s necessary if the mask is ever used to provide relief for any kind of eye infection. Overall I found this to be an excellent little mask, and it’s offered at a good price too. ****About me: Integrity is very important to me. Reviews I've posted will be from items I've had direct contact with. These are my honest opinions. I will not post a review for a product I have not had personal contact with.

Moist heat as advertised, larger and less-filled than another I've tried
The beads in this do indeed heat up in the microwave and hold their heat for a few minutes, and they do absorb and secrete moisture even in my dry climate. It's a nice relief for tired, strained, dry eyes. I have used a very similar Bruder version of this same thing before. In comparison, the Bruder was more tightly packed, with slightly less surface area. I like the increased surface area of this one a little better, it covers my eyes a little more comfortably. The lower density of the beads in it might be considered a disadvantage, but so far it seems like that actually helps it to rest on my eyes a little better, without poking/pushing them as much. On the other hand, you do have to manage the beads position a little more. Both the microwavable moist heat masks I've tried are good, with their pros and cons. This one may be slightly better for larger heads? Probably can't go wrong with either.
