Patak sauces are true to their description. They are definitely slightly salted, which is important for my diet. I didn’t taste or feel anything chemically from its ingredients, as I often have a slight reaction to.. Specifically MSG would leave a dry feeling in my mouth and there wasn’t any. I’ve purchased health products that claim not to have and they did. So this is the end of my search for EZ Go2 Indian sauces. For three separate dinners, I used; 1. Cormac curry with a separately roasted leg of lamb, which I chunk-cut and simmered in the sauce for a while. 2. Tikla Masal with cubed fillet mignon separately air fried, again simmered for awhile. 3. Butter Chicken with slightly air fried chicken drumsticks. I did cook the large drumsticks in the sauce for an hour or so. Then I left it overnight before warming up for dinner. I treated two as a base sauce, which I would augment with my own spices. Which is exactly what I did and they all tasted excellent.I had to have second helpings although I was full For the tickler masala with filet mignon, I also added pearl onions and sliced carrots. I decided to try the tomato based OK butter sauce without any further spicing or vegetables. It was actually quite good “virgin’ as it were. But I think I will play with this one bit more in the future. Hooked on Takla’s sauces!

The taste of each one is good, a little on the careful side. Not too much spice, but gives a good meal. The directions/recipes are very simple. I like to add a bit of curry powder, hot sauce, and some vegetable like tomatoes, red peppers and onions to some of these along with chicken. I suggest jasmine rice and naan as well. I like a lot of Pataks brand especially their mild and hot curry - I mix these together a bit to get the perfect taste quality of ingredients I feel are on point, cost is comparable to in store if not a bit cheaper online. Butter chicken is my favorite. Just needs a kick!

All 3 so-called "simmer" sauces are composed mainly of water (the first ingredient on each jar label). I am an avid cook. I tasted a spoonful of what was in the jars before using and there was zero significant flavor as depicted on the label of the jars. It's so bland and watery, when preparing my first meal of this "simmer sauce," I had to fix the entire sauce from scratch using seasonings from my own pantry, seasoning shelf, and refrigerator. This product is so lacking in flavor, it's not worth your while at all. I would send it all back, but it's not even worth my time. This is probably one of the worst of food products I have ever paid for. I basically had to make my own sauce from scratch to fix what I had intended for a dinner. I literally had to rinse the meat and start over with my own seasonings. This product is not a short cut. It's simply useless, absolutely useless.
