iovroigo Adapter Kit for KIWI Head Strap Compatible with Quest 3/Quest 3S Accessories (Not 3D Printed, Not Include The Head Strap or Quest 3)

I was really expecting this to be difficult, or at least have a high probability of breaking something in the process. It couldn't have been easier. I used the included screwdriver to more or less mangle the old round clips and pop them out. You can do that because this kit includes new clips. It took all of 5 minutes to do. The new clips attached firmly to the headset. Very happy. Saved a lot of money not having to buy a new strap.

As another reviewer noted, the installation is not exactly easy and you will chew up the innards of the circle-attachment on the KIWI strap to pop off the old connectors. Ideally, replacement circle-attachments ought to have been provided. No instructions are included, but you should be able to figure it out just by visual inspection, if you are just slightly mechanically inclined. Overall, you can save quite a bit of money if you're willing to eat up the plastic a bit.Last note - the KIWI Quest 2 strap /w Battery does NOT keep the Quest 3 charged in use. I spent about 10 minutes with the KIWI charged to 100%, charging the Quest 3. I had a movie going in mixed reality passthrough mode. Even within 7-8 minutes I could see the Quest 3 battery percentage draining while charging. Sadly, it seems the old KIWI Quest 2 strap /w battery is not going to provide enough output to keep a Quest 3 charged.

I had a Kiwi Design headstrap for the Q2. Loved it, but once I upgraded to the Q3, I found the default headstrap uncomfortable. I then bought one of the few aftermarket headstraps available for the Q3. While it was definitely more comfortable than the default Q3 headstrap, it still wasn't as comfortable as the Kiwi Design headstrap I had for the Q2. I came across this, while browsing Amazon and for only $10, I decided to give it a shot. The adapters seem pretty sturdy and it allows me to use my Kiwi Design headstrap, designed for the Q2, on my Q3. I'm pretty happy with my purchase!

Perfect fit and very durable

I had a Quest 2 then traded it in for a Quest 3, and this allowed me to use the head strap that I had bought for the Quest 2 to work good for my Quest 3. Thanks to Kiwi for making this adapter.

I bought these in hopes of converting my kiwi battery comfort strap from quest 2 to quest 3 and it does not hold the weight of the quest 3 when using the visor hinge. Just keeps falling back down on my face. After sending the first pair back the second pair has the same issues. I hope they didn't damage my the headstrap if I want to put back on the quest 2. Kiwi is now selling the Quest 3 comfort and battery straps directly from their website with free shipping so I ordered one of those so I can get rid of this junk.

It’s not possible to remove the circular joint connection without deforming the plastic tabs that hold it in place. They function after one removal or possibly two, but they definitely won’t hold together with the same strength.This kit really needs to include a couple of those circular pieces to be worth it. It’s functional, just not ideal. Kiwi has their own kit that includes those connectors on their website, but if you need something in the near future this should hold you over until you can get a better solution.
