Everbuild Mammoth Aluminium Tape – Heat Resistant to 180°C – Light Reflective – Excellent Moisture Resistance – Silver – 75mm x 45m Roll

I bought this to put round the edge of my kitchen worktop cut-out where I'm going to install a new induction hob. The hob instructions say you need to do something to protect a standard wooden worktop, so I put on 3 coats of heat resistant paint and then this tape on top, so most heat should be reflected back and leave via the airflow channels, rather than be absorbed by the worktop. I've done the same 3 coats of heat resistant paint and a layer of this tape to a board that is designed to fit below the hob but above the cutlery drawer. Again the instruction book says you need to put some sort of separation in otherwise your cutlery/utensils will get very hot. I've seen various plates available to buy, but they seem to be ones that get fitted into a new kitchen cabinet, rather than something designed for retrofit. The tape itself is surprisingly strong for how thin it is, but is still easy cut with a regular pair of scissors or a stanley knife, so that you can mould it properly around corners, etc. It's very sticky, so line it up carefully before sticking down, though if I'd only put a couple of mm of a corner down, I was able to quickly lift it up if needed. It's a very large roll for what I needed, but an excellent price for the amount. I'd envisage having plenty left after this job for other random things, even if they just need "silver" tape for the colour rather than the heat reflecting properties, etc. Then again, my parents are thinking about getting a new induction hob too at some point, but they have a posh worktop so may or may not need the second half of this roll.

Good product , sticks well although has a slight tendency to peel off a little, but if you take your time and press firmly al the way along the edges in particular then the peeling off isn't that bad. Not very thick but that's expected for that kind of product. Different sizes available and easy to cut. All in all a decent product.

I used the aluminium tape to seal joints on PIR insulation boards, and it performed exactly as a professional‑grade foil tape should. The adhesive sticks cleanly to the foil facing, stays flat with no lifting. Seems to be waterproof as expected. At 100mm x 45m, it’s a generous roll that feels engineered for proper insulation work rather than quick fixes. Reliable, consistent, and well worth having for PIR installs. Only negative are slightly fiddly to peel off the backing for someone like me that bites their nails. If you peel too much off at at time it has a tendency to fold up on itself. That said, you soon get into the rythm of it and with 45m you can spend the first meter figuring out your own way.

Brilliant stuff, bit awkward peeling the back off but it sticks really well and goes a long way for the price.

I've never used aluminium tape before, but this was easy to apply with strong adhesion. To start peeling off the backing paper, gently cut through the paper side with a craft knife, then bend the aluminium tape and it will start to peel away. Stick one end down, then line the tape up, before pulling the remaining backing paper away from underneath and pressing down. Good thickness, strong but flexible.

I used this to tape insulation boards under my shed floor. Exactly what I was looking for. Not very thick but I did not need a thick one so this was perfect for me. Sticks very well.

Muy buena cinta, muy resistente y gran poder adhesivo. la utilice para poner lana térmica en un techo y la sujeto perfectamente y aguanta la alta temperatura del techo que son planchas metálicas sin despegarse.
