Q: Are these lead free? Lead contamination is one of the major problems with Fulvic acid.

This product is NOT banned in Canada. It is legal to sell it there. Shilajit has to be processed to remove heavy metals like lead. I would not recommend raw Shilajit as a result. Jarrow Formulas uses PrimaVie purified Shilajit. This processing removes much of the heavy metals like lead. California Proposition 65 "safe harbor" limits for lead are: 1) Lead as a reproductive toxin = 0.5 ug/day = 0.0005 mg/day. 2) Lead a carcinogen = 15 ug/day = 0.015 mg/day The U.S. EPA Drinking Water Regulations for Lead limits lead in water to 0.015 mg/L = 0.00355 mg/cup of water = 0.28 mg per 8 cups of water a day. Canadian Heavy Metal limit for lead is 10 ug/day (0.28 ug/kg body weight) = 0.010 mg/day CONSUMER WELLNESS CENTER LABS tested various brands of Shilajit. The results are on consumerwellness DOT org/Shilajit-Heavy-Metals-Lab-Test-Results DOT html Jarrow Formulas has 414 ppb lead. For 500 mg a day dose = 0.207 ug/day = 0.000207 mg/day This is less than the legal limit for lead as a reproductive toxin in California. So it passes California's Proposition 65 law and would be legal to sell in California. This is well below the EPA limit on lead. It passes Canadain limits. It would also be legal to sell in Canada. So if you look at Amazon.ca, it will be there. The only problem I have with Jarrow Formulas is that they do not test their products for lead regularly like other brands given the risk of lead poisoning from untreated Shilajit. Shilajit is supportive of physical energy levels via ATP production and is commonly taken before a workout. Taking at breakfast or lunch is recommended.

Q: Has anyone compared Primavie to Trufulvic? The latter is supposed to be 70% fulvic acid vs 50 for this.

I just read that the only true double blind study done contained 50% Fulvic Acid.
