Architectural Drawing Course

This is an elementary introduction to the architectural process -- just what I was looking for to help me with perspective and skill in my art work. Mo Zell: she is great putting the straight-forward routine down. The layout is simple and easy to understand and use. Thank you Ms. Zell.

This book was a gift for our nephew. The illustrations are lovely and the directions, clear. My husband was so impressed with the various techniques and the way they are taught, he wanted to keep it!

We bought this book for our son for Christmas. He really enjoys architectural engineering and thinks he wants to go to school for that. This book already is giving him some insight as to what that looks like. The lessons appear to be very detailed. Not much else to say at this time as my son is just starting out.

I read this book in one day and have gone back through to complete the assignments and find the recommended additional reads which I found to be very helpful. Overall I am so pleased with this book. The way the information in conveyed is clear and precise. I will look out for addition architectural reads from this author.

There are some good architectural concepts to learn in this book, and some great drawings/examples. But the print is very small throughout the book making it difficult to read. Some of the print is gray instead of black making it even more difficult to read. If that isn't enough, the pages are shiny - almost like a magazine - making it even more difficult to read. This is not what I was looking for. I would recommend making the book larger in order to make the print readable.

Excellent book... covers all aspects of the architectural profession. All design projects will enhance your creative tools and give you a broad overview of the profession. Includes suggested websites and books. For me, well worth the o\purchase price.

Many architectural studio classes are taught without a specific textbook (not counting the reading of architectural classics). This could be that missing textbook. It is a broad yet specific syllabus of all things studio. While seeming a bit advanced for high school time limits, it certainly is worthy of college and graduate school courses.

I would LOVE IT if the main font used for the main text were heavier/darker. Perhaps It's my need to have my eyes checked. I love the layout of this book and the exercises/homework assignments. Thorough lessons and fantastic references throughout this book!

E' un lobro utile e con un approccio approfondito e intelligente. Presuppone delle qualità di base che comunque si possono sviluppare.

Having bought this book before I started at uni to study architecture, I was hoping it would give me a good grounding for the year ahead. Having just completed my first year... I can say I'm so glad I bought it. There are so many reasons to get it... I'd basically be rewriting the book here! The fundamentals are so well explained with accompanying detailed step by step illustratioms... even tricks that my lecturer didn't teach us. So many fellow students went out and bought this having a scan through that it has made it onto the uni's reading list. Any student doing architecture or interior design... or even those wanting to know how to draw a space accurately.... get this on your shelf!!!

Just what the title says. This is a wonderful aid for any student starting an architecture course, and I only wish I were recommended it before my first year. In very clear and non-patronizing way, it takes you through what to expect on an architecture course. I take for granted how little I knew when I first started, and a book like this would have alleviated so much discomfort at wondering if my drawings are looking the way they're supposed to, or if there was any better way of doing things. Takes you step by step, provides interesting insight and some great ideas. Extremely useful, even for students already on the course. 5 Star!
