Very hard to install. I was only able to get one to work

The size, color, and finish are very similar to the OEM part on a 94 BMW E36 coupe. I liked that very much, and would have given it a 4-5 star rating for that. Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 retaining hooks broke on installation, despite my being careful so I was unable to use it. I have removed and installed these E36 escutcheons on at least a dozen previous occasions on different cars I have worked on and have never had one break before. One of the 4 hooks broke off completely and the other cracked to the point where it was unusable. Bottom line - I wanted to like this part but unfortunately it did not work for me.

I repaired both door panels on my BMW e36 -- it's a common issue. As part of the process of repair the door, you need to slide these interior door handle covers to release the door panel. Maybe when I was removing or re-installing the original handle cover, I broke off one of the plastic tabs, and so one of my handle covers doesn't lie flush against the door panel. Now that I have this set of new covers, I'll go back and fix the issue. There's always something to fix on an old BMW. Annoyingly when I went to replace these covers today, I found out they sent me two left sides (passenger) and not one left and one right! The one that was really broken on my car is the right driver side one. So this set is basically useless for me. I'm dropping my review to lowest one star because the product is supposed to include left and right sides.
