Gas meter box latch
Well, the latch matched and fitted the 24 year old gas meter box. However, the triangular bit at the top was such a tight fit in my meter key that I had to shave bits of plastic off the triangle to make it useable. The first time I tried to get the key off the lock I pulled the entire fitting off the box lid having only just fitted it. It now works fine but it is odd that my key that fits the electricity and water meter boxes with no problems should be such a tight fit on this new latch. Annoyingly, I also found the same fitting cheaper on Ebay after I had bought it via Amazon. Such is life!
