For those who might be alarmed that this milk-circuit cleaner is gel, or has congealed, or isn't powder — don't worry! it works fine!Simply use scissors to cut the sachet open on three sides and, with the tap set to a gentle flow of water, flush the open sachet under the tap so the cleaning agent is washed into the carafe; check the carafe is filled to maximum capacity, and then carry out the cleaning operation.

Sachets are a gel - not a powder (as clearly stated in Amazon product description),Squeezed as much as possible from the sachet, hard to know whether full content emptied out or not .Water looked the same before and after sachet content emptied outCertainly, not as good as the original Sage steam wand cleaner powder that shipped with the machine.I will throw the rest of these sachets away, I will purchase a sage powder branded product.Be warned - GEL - not POWDER

Does the job but expensive for what it is

The product has congealed so I am unable to get it out of the sachet. Got a refund.
