Dark and doesn't break.
The lead are great quality, got it for my 10 years old. The writing is dark and easy to reading.The lead doesn't brwak easily. I totally recommend these leads.

Glide on paper with ease
I must tell you Faber-Castell products are always great However these pencil leads are beautiful. They glide over the paper with ease and comfort. They erase easy. They are easy to read. It is a perfect product. When I’m writing I want just what these leads are. If you buy the.m or any other Faber-Castell pencil or product you will be happy and glad you did.

Wish it was Darker
It is a very good quality lead and it does glide beautifully, but I thought it would be darker. It is the same darkness of lead that comes with the papermate clear point mechanical pencils.

Good for crossword puzzles
These are good pencils for crossword puzzles. They are quite soft and dark and wear down quickly so that sharpening after each puzzle is usually needed. They don't have erasers, and the polymer type ones work well.

A well known and respected brand that provided what I needed
Mechanical pencils are a convenient writing instrument that come in a variety of diameters of lead in various strengths (hardness) and colors. I found the 2B to be a softer lead that provided a darker color, perfect for my needs. Faber-Castell has always been my go-to choice for replacement leads.
