So good!
I love this serum so much, my skin feels refreshed and well hydrated. I use it in the morning and Liquid Gold from the same brand in the evening.

Serum with good antaging ingredients, 5% Niacinamide, Ferulic Acid, Copper Tripeptide-1, plus more
I received ALPHA-H Advocate Vitamin B Serum with 5% Niacinamide in a safety sealed box containing a 0.85 fluid ounce glass bottle, with dropper dispenser. The box label provides product information, directions, ingredient list, lot number, origin and company details. The serum is made in Australia. The antiaging formula uses targeted ingredients, such as 5% Niacinamide, Ferulic Acid and Copper Tripeptide-1, along with botanical extracts, 1% Panthenol, Hyaluronic Acid and more. The serum itself is blue, and as some other reviewers mentioned there is scent to the product, but not due to an added fragrance. Since I have previously used products containing Ferulic Acid and Copper Tripeptide-1, a Copper Peptide, I suspect these two ingredients are the likely culprits here. True, the smell may not be the most pleasant, and this serum in particular may have a stronger scent, but personally I have found the benefits outweigh the momentary somewhat unpleasant smell. My research indicates that Copper Peptides are established as powerful antioxidants that can help with collagen production and overall skin regeneration properties. Ferulic Acid offers similar benefits, plus it helps improve the appearance of existing fine lines, wrinkles, and skin discoloration. Also, anyone familiar with Niacinamide knows that this ingredient is really effective in keeping the skin smooth, bright and free of hyperpigmentation. It also strengthens the skin barrier. And this serum has 5% Niacinamide, vs many that only include 1%, which is likely another reason it is quite effective. Note: I have mature, somewhat sensitive and reactive skin, with a very pale Celtic complexion and these skin care ingredients work effectively for me to address anti-aging concerns of hydration, firming, melasma and brightening. Yes, it takes a while to realize benefits and products containing Copper Peptides like this ALPHA-H serum, (they are usually blue in color) are not inexpensive, but in my experience at least, they really do provide visible positive results. Personally, I noticed a difference in the firmness of my skin, especially around my jaw line and neck, in apx. 2 months, so even though the smell may not be the greatest, I will continue to use this product because it contains ingredients that have proven to be very effective for me and hope that the visible results seen thus far continue to improve. If you have never used a skin care product with these ingredients and you wish to address concerns referenced above, I suggest giving it a try.

Feels so good on my skin! Perfect for nighttime use! Light, nutty, natural scent.
Ooolala, I love this serum. It is super smooth on my face, neck, and chest and it provides really nice hydration overnight. You will only want to use this at night because it has retinol (vitamin A) in it. There has been a correlation to skin cancer if you go in the sun with retinol on your skin, so I am really care with products that contain this ingredient. SCENT There is no added perfume in this product, but it does has a slight scent of nuttiness, but many people will find that this is unscented. I have a pretty good sense of smell and there is absolutely no rancidity. INGREDIENTS I think the ingredients are very pure and fresh. It does contain a preservative which most face serum and creams contain. There are no parabens, but there is Phenoxyethanol which is safe to use and vital to keep away bacterias, yeasts, etc. Phenoxyethanol is fairly high on the ingredient list, so I am assuming in contains quite a bit of it. Usually I see it towards the end of the ingredient list. It is the 6th ingredient of 16 ingredients. THE CONSISTENCY The serum is a beautiful light yellow, fairly thick consistency. It goes on smoothly and not sticky to me. THE BOTTLE The bottle is glass with a dropper so the serum is kept uncontaminated and fresh. Love it! I love this product and it’s made in Australia which is pretty cool. Definitely a 5-star product!

👍🏻
This is my first time trying this Australian skin care brand after hearing and reading about it in a lot places. It definitely boasts some powerhouse ingredients, and I’m glad to see that the junk ingredients that I completely avoid are left out of this serum. I have ultra sensitive skin, and so far I haven’t had any issues at all with redness, sensitivity or breakouts. I like that it’s a lightweight consistency and absorbs nicely into clean skin. After a few minutes I follow it with my favorite moisturizer am and pm. I love that it has the ceramides! Having ceramides in my skincare routine makes such a difference for me (I’m 52) . Because I have such sensitive skin, I’m not able to use products with ‘actives’ like retinol, AHA, BHA so I heavily rely on the more simple ingredients like the vitamin E and ceramides to replenish dehydrated skin and help to restore and build skin barrier. I like the dropper dispenser application. I’m looking forward to trying more products from this brand. The price point tho 😵💫 is going to be a budget buster for some (🙋🏼♀️) so I’m going to watch for possible sales to be able to stock up. Fortunately, it has a thinner consistency so a little goes a long way.

Safe & Effective - Gentle On The Skin
This is a really nice facial serum. Goes on easily and seems to be quite clean and gentle for all skin types. It's a somewhat dense milky serum that is pale green in color. At first, it seems as though it will leave the skin dewy, but it doesn't at all. There will be no unwanted residuals left on the surface of the skin. Only a wonderfully soft and healthy feeling to the touch. In fact, it seems as though this would be quite safe and helpful for those with oily and problematic skin, yet also helpful and effective for those with dry skin too. Sort of the best of both worlds which is ideal for my mature combination skin. Firms up skin and will make it more supple and elastic. Diminishes fine lines and leaves you with a healthy glow. Conditions the skin to help it look its best. Good for all adult age groups and is just as effective for men as it is for women.

Appears to Work Well
I can't say for certain that this product is doing what it's supposed to. I should also mention that I am often skeptical of these types of products. For the time being, it does appear to be moisturizing my skin, but I don't how superficial of an effect this is. I will probably stop using this product.

High quality serum
The ALPHA-H | Vitamin A Serum with 0.5% Retinol is a thick serum and I applied directly onto my face. It indicates to use two or three drops, however it didn't spread very well for me and I had to use six drops. I posted a photo of the ingredients list. You can see that Retinol and Squalane is high in the list of ingredients - probably what attributes to the price. I didn't have any irritation initially putting it on. After about an hour or two, my skin felt a little itchy and not enough that I would need to wash it off. I did have some redness to my cheeks and chin, however it went away the next morning. I do not have sensitive skin. Although it has a lot of hydrating ingredients, it did leave my skin very dry. I believe that's because of the high concentration of Retinol. This is a product you use every other day and maybe less often until you know how your skin reacts. You would want to use it at night and make sure and wash it off in the morning - otherwise you need a very high SPF sunscreen. Overall I thought this was a great quality serum. You can find plenty of serums that say Retinol, however in the low-cost serums, Retinol is usually at the bottom of the list of ingredients - which means there's very little of it. With the Alpha H Vitamin A Serum with 0.5% Retinol - you're paying for the real deal.

Smells awful
My first impression was that this stuff smells awful--like burning rubber. For that reason alone, I wouldn't consider buying it again. It also has no expiration or manufacturing dates on the bottle, which is concerning, considering how quickly these ingredients will degrade. There should be some sort of indication about how long this serum will remain potent, and I have no idea how old the contents are to begin with. Aesthetically speaking, the blue color is gross and off-putting. It absorbed in 10-15 minutes, for the most part, but left a sticky residue that lasted for hours. It will be a couple of months at least before I see any results, so the jury's still out on that.
